Are there any good supplements to take to help lower cholestrol? My hubbys is a little high and we want to get it down more naturally with diet and supplements if we can. Are Omega 3 good for that? Hubby is really skinny and fit so he really doesn't need to watch his weight or exercise more so it just must be something genetic for his to have high cholestrol. So any good supplements that he should take?? Thanks.

cut down on foods with high amounts of saturated fat e.g. cakes, chocolate, pastries, eggs, kidney, prawns, liver Eating soluble fibre is good because it helps lower cholestrol. It is found in most fruit, veg, beans and oats Products from the brand flora pro activ and benecol have evidence of lowering cholestrol. i wouldn't want to comment on any supplements because they react differently with every individual, i would see your GP or pharmist to recommend supplements

Thanks for the advice. Will have to get more beans and oats into his diet probably. He will be seeing his Doc soon so will probably find out more then. Thanks.
