i know that sometimes it can be a little intimidating when you are meeting your others family because deep down you want them to like you so that you don't have any problems in the future, i know that it was a little scary for me but it all worked out for me and everything went pretty good...i have heard a lot of stories though where people get scared and when they do they assume that people are gonna be bad or mean or not like them and get nervous, what about you, before you met your others family or if you are about to did you get nervous or do you think you will? thank you for taking the time out of your day to come and read my discussion and i hope that you all will have an answer and i also hope that you all have a great evening, night and the rest of your weekend is great! thanks!

I was a bit nervous. We met online, and I moved in with him after 3 months of us meeting online. It was a move of 1600 miles to another state, and I had only been here 3 days when we went to his parents for Sunday dinner. I was a little nervous about how they would take a southern girl, lol. But within minutes of arriving at their home, I felt like I had walked into my parents house, the way the acted and talked with each other, it was like at my mom and dad's. If he was nervous (which would not be like him) when he met my mom and dad, he never showed it. I really don't think he was, it's just not like him to be nervous about meeting anyone.lol

Yes i got nervous the first time that I met his family. I was really conscious on how do i look. i am afraid that they won't like me... or that they will compare me to his ex. I don't know how they are going to talk to me if they will like me, or judge me. it took me I think 1 week to prepare myself to be able to go to their house. Anyway, things went well during that time.

HI jh When at first met them, I was very relaxed! I never talked to them on the phone but I have tried sending them cards before we met! I was very comfortable, no effort actually..lol! I had a nice talk with them! I have few friends who are not comfortable with their inlaws, strict, choosy, nosey and all..I am lucky they are not like that in our lives!
