we went night swimming last Friday as an advanced birthday party for one of our officemate who would be having her birthday on Tuesday. she won't be available on Tuesday so we decided to hold her party earlier and we've been wanting to go swimming again so we packed our bags, prepared our food and went to a pool resort last Friday night! i love swimming, may it be day swimming or night swimming. but i think i would prefer to swim at night in a swimming pool to avoid the sun. ^__~ but if it were in a beach, i would be swimming in the morning. anyway, we all enjoyed our swimming party and we had a lot of fun especially because me, the birthday celebrant and another officemate were finally able to slide! during our last swimming, we were not able to slide properly because our swim wears and the slide weren't slippery enough to send us screaming down to the water. but on Friday, the slide was perfect even if our swim wears weren't that slippery, and so we were able to whooosh! yipeee!!! LOL it was so much fun to take that slide! there was a few curves and it would send you down without knowing when will you hit the water. ^__^;; and i'm thankful it was dark because there weren't so many people to see us. ^__~ we swam until it was 3 in the morning. so do you like night swimming?

It's a little way too long huh.. lol =D Dun the security guards chase u away?? hehe Here in singapore, we will never have the chance to swim past 11pm, because that's the lastest we can swim till :( BUt still, i like to swim in the day as it's hot and the water is cold, plus i can get a bit of tann while swimming too.. haha

we have a lot of private and public pools here in our town. they are all swimming pools because we don't have any seas or oceans. i don't usually go night swimming in a beach too. its scary. i might get lost in the water and in the dark. but last June, i experienced night swimming at a beach. i was with friends though and we were only in a shallow part of the sea. plus, i was a little drunk that's why i was feeling a little gutsy. ^__~

there wasn't any security guards. and the resort was a public one so we could stay as long as we want to. i mean, the pool was intended for day and night swimming. and there were crews around looking after us. and we started swimming at 11pm because we had to prepare our food first and eat first before swimming.

Hi secretbear, it’s really a joyful moment to have a group of good friend or officemates to have fun in the swimming pool in the tranquil nighttime, no wonder you all could swim until the 3 in the morning I like swimming as well during my leisure time. I always prefer to have this activity during the early morning or late in the evening as I don’t like to swim under the scorching sun. I’m scare that my skin would get a good tan if to expose in the daylight for long time. Anyway the pool or beach usually is not congested or totally not even any swimmer in the morning and in the night as well. posting and have a nice day.

hi ikbooi! yes. it was really a fun moment. and we missed swimming that's why we swam until we were tired. ^__~ our last swimming before it was last June and it was on a beach. we went night swimming then too and some of us swam during the morning. its also relaxing to swim in the early morning because the water is cooler and the sun is not that hot yet.

Your so lucky you know how to swim secretbear. I don't know how to swim but I hope that I can learn because it looks fun and it's a really good for as an excercise. Even though I don't know how to swim I think that if it was me I would like to swim at night because I wouldn't like too many people to look at me while I am in my bathign suit or whatever. It sounds like fun and in the picture you guys look like you had a lot of fun. Although in my senior trip two years ago my AP English teacher tried to teach me how to swim and I almost drowned. The lifeguard was almost about to jump in but then she pulled me back up. I actually wanted the lifeguard to save my life because he was pretty hot.

Oh yeah Mr. Phelps can give me the kiss of life anytime he wants. I wouldn't mind being saved by that hot pieve of American meat.

Hi there! Night swimming in a resort pool is great! Especially the ones in Laguna, south of Manila, Philippines. You can also choose if you prefer hot spring waters, because this is more healthy and relaxing especially after stressful days. Of course, Friday nights are best! Its a great way to end the workweek and to start a nice weekend. But I would'nt try night swimming in the beach though. I'd rather take a walk along the beach at night with a friend, and swim in the early morning.

hey patchmypal! i'm glad you like our resorts here in Laguna. ^__~ and yeah, it is very relaxing and healthier to take a dip in hot spring waters after a stressful day from work. its fun to night swim at the beach too! but only if you are with some people. its scary to be alone there at night in the dark beach.

I like night swimming until it is time to get out in the cold. I would swim at night more if someone else here enjoyed it so that I could go swimming at night. It's a bit creepy with a dark bottom pool though.

hi littlemel! i have always thought that the water at night is warmer and during the day it is much cooler. that's very true when we are talking about lakes and oceans. i'm not sure with swimming pools though.

I prefer swimming at night. The water is much warmer. I used to swim all of the time when I was younger. It didn't matter if it were day or night. But now I prefer the warmer water of the night. The slide at night sounds fun. I'm glad you had a good time.

I love night swimming... that is the only time when i would actually go for a swim... during day time... i always indulge in the food... and at night i swim till it is time to go home... like you said... night swimming is the best way to do it if we want to avoid the heat of the sun... and there are only a few people in the swimming pool when it is already night time...

i agree. there's only a few pool swimming at night. most people prefer to rest at night. i think its mostly the younger ones who usually swim at night. hey, that's quite a nice habit. eating a lot during the day and swimming at night to burn all the calories.

I love night swimming. It is my most favorite kind, especially when the moon is full on a warm night and all the stars are out! It used to be safe in my neighborhood to go out for a midnight swim anytime, but now I am not so sure. Glad you had a good time!

Night swimming is rather awesome, It's more peaceful, not as many people unless your going with a group of friends. You don't get sun burnt! and if your young you can smootch and skinny dip without being actually seen by many others really.

I use to love to swim at night in a public pool. The underwater lights were amazing. I agree about beach swimming and only swimming during the day. Need to see what is floating around in the water so nighttime ocean swimming is not what I recommend. Sharks like to come in closer to the beach as the sun goes down. Those slides are fun too. It's been several years since I swam. I use to teach swimming to little ones and taught our kids how to swim.

you're a swimming instructor before? cool. there are usually no sharks in our beaches because resort owners usually select a safe place to build their resort. what i don't like are the jellyfishes, and some other weird creatures. and of course, i don't like big waves.

Hello secretbear, Very unlucky for me... I don't know how to swim at all. So whether it is night or day swim, I still don't know how it feels *sighs* It sounds interesting but I have to admit again that I am afraid of flowing water. I don't know why. I always feel like I am going to drown whenever I am in the water *sighs*

I love night swimming, but it has been a while since I have done so. Since you can't see as well, it seems you use your other senses and feel the water more and hear the water...it is so relaxing.

I love night swimming for the main reason of there is no sun to ruin your skin. And also the night breeze is so cool and enjoying. And the water is also ice cold. Great to do laps in cold water. Anyways, night swimming should be in the swimming pool. I wouldn't like to swim in the sea at night. Who knows what might be there?! Mermaids, merman or monsters... Just kidding. I mean the jellyfishes could be there or who knows, sharks. We can't see in the dark and the sea is dark at night. The pool is night because lights are installed in the walls beneath. My experience in night swimming is during the summer of last last year I guess. I was with friends and we had an overnight in a small resort. There was this average-sized pool and we swam like early night til 2 AM! Imagine how freezing the water and wind that night/morning was! But it was very very enjoyable. I was like on high because supposedly at that time I was sleeping but I'm in the cool water enjoying the cold. I would love for that to happen again. Well, if time and budget permits. ;)

hi bryanski! that sounded really fun. i guess we both enjoy swimming. and so are our friends. if you see a mermaid or a merman, call me. i'd be happy to see them too. but i don't like swimming in beaches too at night. aside from jelly fishes, its dark and you can't lie down on the sand and take a nap without worrying that someone might step on you or abduct you. ^__^;;
