Do You Cut the Tags Off or Leave Them On?

I know this is a silly question, but I was wondering how many of y'all cut off those annoying tags on the backs of blouses/shirts? I always cut mine off if possible because they are itchy and very annoying. I don't see any need for them at all, they just seem totally worthless. I like the t-shirts where they print the labels on instead of putting those small, dangly things on the necks of blouses/shirts.

I like those t-shirts as welll. They actually have it in underwear as well now and other garments and it's a great idea, although they fade faster than the other kind. As for cutting or not cutting, with me it really depends. It the tag is bothering me - ithy, scratchy etc - then I cut it, if not I just leave it. In some special items that I would like to keep the washing instructions I find that they are helpful to remind me. In other cases I like to keep them in because sometimes more than one of us has the same thing and the tags show me the sizes so I know who it belongs to . This happens a lot with hubby's and son's clothing LOL

I usually leave them on unless they bother me which most times they do not. You're right, there really is no reason to leave them on. They seem to only serve a purpose for when people are buying so they can see the size, kind of material, and maybe washing instructions. Most time the washing instruction tag is in the side seam.

I leave the tags on. Cutting them sometimes leaves tag edges which are more annoying. The only way is to remove the stitches and sometimes that leaves a kind of line on the shirt.

If the line is on the inside of the shirt and not the outside, why not just get rid of them? I'd rather take my time and get rid of the whole dang thing!

Well it depends on how big the tag is and if it is annoying me, so as a rule no, but if it is annoying me yes I do cut the tag off. My boys do ssometimes have the same clothes so I do then cut the tags out of one of the clothes so it is easier for me and them to find which is theres

I hate those little tags,, they are useless. Very hard to read. They use mircoscopic print that no one can read LOL.. They itch ,, I hate them! Sometimes they scratch you. I have seen some that have the tag sewn into the side. That is a better idea. I do like the ones that are just printed into the fabric better. But again who can really read them???LOL

I agree, they are totally useless! I don't care who made them or where they came from, I just don't want that annoying itch on the back of my neck when I am trying to get something done! I've had clothes with the side tags...those are soo much better.........

I don't usually bother cutting them off unless they are really rough, itchy or irritating and luckily I don;t have really sensitive skin! I do have to cut them off my daughters clothes though and it isn't the first time I have tried to rush things and ended up making a hole in the clothes! xxx

Very worth the risk then huh? I have to admit that the way my daughter ruins clothes it doesn't make that much difference if there are sometimes a couple of little holes there! xxx

I've made a few holes in my blouses too!! But most are barely noticable and I don't have to scratch my neck every few minutes..

I leave them on, they don't really bother me. My daughter wants hers cut out, but sometimes it is difficult to cut out without leaving a little bit and this is just as annoying or more so than the entire tag. I have removed them for her by picking out the stitches, then the tag is completely gone.

Yea you're right, you pretty much have to take the stitches out, but to me, it's worth my time. I just can't stand them!!
