I really do. But I have seen in my friend's house they never fixed their beddings. They just jump from bed, get ready for work and leave the beddings undone. Pillows are scattered, sheets mess up and all over is not properly arrange. They said that it would be easy at night, they will just jump there and sleep. No more preparation... I can not stand that.. lol.. even how busy I am with my online thing, I have to made up the bed when I wake up. Even if I can not vacuum the floor the whole day, my bed is not mess up. What about you? It's nice to hear your story too.

I do fix my bedding every morning. I want everything to be in order before I leave my room. A room full of mess can give me head ache.I don't like sleeping with all the pillows and sheets tangled from previous sleep. That is so yucky to me.

It is a must for me. I wake up and when I get out of my bed I usually make it a point to fix my bed properly. Sometimes when my hubby is still sleeping then I have to wait till he wakes up. But either way I have to fix my bed as soon as possible. I can't bear the site of blankets and bedsheets laying there on the bed without being properly folded. I try to motivate my hubby to do it if he is the one out of the bed last but it doesn't work every time. If he is in a good mood when he wakes up he would do it but thats not common. I hope to teach my kids some mannerisms like making the bed before and after the sleep. If I am successful I would have some help at hand. Though I know I must not keep high hopes from them.

Wow congratulations for that good training that you wan your children to have. Yes, it is really rewarding when you train your children to do that while they are yet young. They will use to it when they grow up. You don't need to tell them or scold them for doing that, it will become a part of their system. Good luck.

I am totally like your friend... it is just something to me that seems totally unnecessary... but i have friends just like you who have to make their bed in the morning... for me it just adds something else to my busy day that doesnt really need to be done since i am going to jump right back into it a night...

well, no problem if you are alone on your room and no visitors are coming in. But when you try to do it as a habit to make and arrange your bed, you will feel good, looking at that very neat room and bed. Good luck.

HI Bebs, Ohhh...I always fix it before doing anything in the morning, When we get up, that's the first thing I will do and then prepare hubby's clothes as well as food for lunch! I am glad this was part of the training we have at home, I don't appreciate those who will just leave it like a jungle..LOL! I have also few friends who are like that especially the married one, seems they find it hard to fix it because of the demand of works they need to do! But, when we always make it part of our routine, I know it is always possible!

I agree, it's hard for them to adopt it once they were not taught at a younger age! But, I had a roommate before in COllege who used to be like that messy but since she was living with us, she was influenced in the long run! Good thing! LOL!

Hi Che, I agree with you 100%. It is now a part of your system because of the training you have when you are yet young. See? Our home is the best place for training, Now if our kids are not properly trained with household duties, their house someday is a mess.

My husband makes the bed before he leaves for work. And when my boys wake up they also make their beds. The only time that the beds are messy is when I'm washing all of the bedding. But I straighten it out right away.

Absolutely! I mean there might be a day here and there where it doesn't get done, hubby doesn't do it, so if I'm up and showered and downstairs before he even gets up on the weekends it might not get done unless I remember and go up, but usually I am not in my room again until bedtime. But on a normal day I do it as soon as I get out of the shower and get dressed. Now, it doesn't always stay made though because the kids go and watch TV and play PS2 in our room and tend to make a mess of our bed.

Hi Bebs, check my response again ;). I did not say my rooms are messy, and I do teach my kids to clean, thank you, they do chores every day. I said my bed sometimes gets messed up because my kids watch TV in there. So of course they are sitting on my bed to watch TV and of course sitting on the bed messes it up a bit, especially if they are playing on the PS2 and moving around a little more.

Hi jomom. it is normal for the house with kids to have messy rooms I understand that. But you know what? if kids are taught how to keep things and arrange things, put it in their proper places, they will really do it.

Are you? I don't know about that ha? Well, most moms complained about it. That's how I learned because when I was young my mom keeps on scolding me when I will not made my bed in the morning. Good luck,,, hope you will next time.

I agree with you fully. Every morning it is one of the first things that I do. Make the bed. I can not stand going about my day while cleaning other things and my bed is not put together. I am a little fussy also. I like the sheet and blanket to be covering my bed just right. You never know who could come over and look at the house and happen to use the bathroom which is right near a bedroom. I have two bathrooms and two bedrooms. I think that what you do makes a lot of sense and you are a clean woman.

That's right!!! You'll never know who is your visitor during the day. Besides, it is also very neat to think about that everything is in place before you walk out from your rooms The kids also would copy what they saw in the house. Show good example.

Well I think this habit of fixing our bed should be taught to our kids so that when they get older they would become responsible of doing it. Unlike our teen agers today? O my.. They don't even know how to fold a sheet.

Hi! I'm like your friends, I don't fix my bed. I don't see why I have to fix it up when I know I'm going to ruin it again later on. No one else sees our room/bed anyway and it's okay for me too see it like that. All I have to do is jump in and out of bed whenever I like. But anyhoo, good for you for being organized!

It is just funny when you said, jump in and out in bed in the same manner morning and evening arrangement? well, if you are comfortable with it? that's fine... but if you can try to fix it when you hav time? you will see the difference.

yah,i like how you treat your room. Our rooms are private too, only we welcome the cleaners...LOL. Sorry, I got used to this set up. My room is very fragrant too. It is being sprayed with an easy sleep aroma therapeutic what ever!heehee. The sheets too is color coordinated with the curtains...actually I really had them made out of the same fabrics. The masters bedroom is in pale green. My daughters room is pink and my sons is blue...and we all end up sleeping in the master bedroom...teeheehee. My husbands says, he cant sleep if he cant see the 2 giant kids, so they bring their matresses to our bedroom every night and return them to their rooms in the mornings...then, they both got tired...the task ended up with the maids...our life is funny dont you think?

When Im in my grandma's house, I don't have the choice but to fix my beddings. You will hear a lot of early morning sermons if you don't. But right now, I am renting a room and sometimes I have no time to fix my beddings. Especially when Im in a hurry because I will get late in my work. So the time when I left my room, the beddings were unfixed. Then, it will be the same when I get back from work.

Oh!! that's fine when you are living alone and you are not expecting visitors. Anyway, most visitors are not coming to your room hahahah unless it's your best friend who wants to sleep with you but it is always nice to have this habit of fixing the bed before anything else in the morning.

Yes, I am like you too. It has a been a routine for me to make up the bed every morning. Even if sometimes I do other chores first such as preparing the breakfast for my husband who is going to work early in the morning, washing the dishes and doing the laundry, I will still make up the bed even if it is already 10.00 a.m. I always make sure I make up the bed before I do my postings in mylot because most of the time I do it on the bed. It is not comfortable to post discussions when there is a mess on the bed.

Sometimes I do, sometimes not. I usually fix my bed after waking up because I don't want to see my bedroom at mess. But when I started working and my shift is night time, I usually left my room with bed sheet messed up, pillows not arranged and blanket scattered. But during my rest days I make an effort to be tidy in my bedroom and fix all my things.

hhahaha... I understand that. I have a friend also who is doing that. When they are busy in that day, they will just jump out from bed leaving it unfix because they are in a hurry to do the job for the day. But me, since I am staying in the house I have to fix the bed before anything else. I am not in a hurry in the morning so I have time to do that.

it has been my habit to fis my bed every time i wake up. When i was a kid, mom usually do these, but as i grow up, i am now responsible for taking good care of my stuffs as well as keeping them neat and organized. Whether i am tired from the night or i am still lacking from sleep. i do not forget to fix my bed. Its just like brushing my teeth. i cant leave the house without doing it.

Absolutely right!!! the training must start when we are yet young and most mothers are responsible for this training since the father is always out and it is not the father's duty to teach the kids about cleanliness in the home, it is the mother's duty. I congratulate your mother for being good at that...Mother should be the first teacher of the child..
