football training (a funny)

Have been to football training with my ten year old son this evening.
While training my son asked the coach if he could go and get a drink. The coach replied that he wouldn't be able to go and get a drink half way through a match. My son replied that he would because half time is half way through the match. The coach laughed and said good answer.
Just wanted to sahre that funny with you all.

Your child is very literal, and smart. I am so glad the coach was good humored about this. I have seen some people get upset and resent the intelligent child.

Kids say the greatest things, don't they? My mother ran a nursery school, and worked in other nursery schools and day cares for most of her life. I bet she could write a book of such stories.
In the Canadian Readers Digest there is a column called As Kids See It, which is all funny things kids say. Go to http://www.rd.ca and submit the story you just posted here. It could get printed in the magazine, and you could get $200 for it! :)
