You better NEVER Flirt with my Wife!!!

This was too good to pass up. My wife was at home today while I was at work. She had a visitor come by the house. Now he was on a mission. He had to sell a certian number of magazines so that he could win a trip to Cancun. Thinking it was going to get him a sell he began flirting with my wife. He said "Do you think your husband would mind if I took you with me to the Cancun or would he beat me up?" She replied (straight faced) "He'll beat you up." Then He said that part of his prize was he gets to have a party at our house and that he was going to bring the beer. She stood there straight faced and didn't say a word. He then seeing that it was getting him no where decided to tell her that his flirting was a way to just get a rise out of her. So she says "Don't flirt with me!" (still straight faced) He was taken aback and apoligized some. He began to fumble with his sales pitch and sadi that if I had a job that was a community service that he would get bonus points. So he asked "Is your husband in the military?" She looked at him and said "No, he is a minister!" OK at this time he knew he had totally blown it. He began apoligizing all over the place about the beer and the flirting. He then left with No sell and his head hanging low. You just don't flirt with my wife. :) How would you have handled a magazine salesman like this?

LOL! Your wife's strategy worked great and I'll have to keep that one in mind if ever a salesman finds his way out here in the boonies outside of Hooterville where I live!

I love this story. Your wife sounds like me. I hate when anyone tried to flirt with me. I can see me responding the same way. Very Straight faced! My husbands wants to be a Pastor also. He has preached a few times. Mind if I add you to my frinds list? Does your Wife have a MyLot account too? I would to add her also!??

You amy add me to your friends list. My wife does not have one. I try to get her to join but she doesn't. Oh well. I think she would really like it. Do you and your husband belong to a denomination? or are you independant?

I have accepted. We are independant. We are going to an asemblies of God church right now. We started a church about 6 years ago and pastored that until 6 month ago when we moved to a different state. (Job transfer) I would love to stay in touch with the 2 of you as you begin to move into ministry.

hahahhaa......what a BS salesman! I wish he will change his technique in selling or else bad things will happen to him! LOL! I encounter a lot of forceful salesman and most of the time, I always ignore them without them finishing a sentence, I will close the conversation!

Yeah, my wife is something else. She can definatly hold her own. She has always been real outspoken. She would just as soon not you on your butt than have you disrespect her.

Well, see, with me being single and all if he was cute.... nah it wouldn't have gotten him anywhere with me lol. I have a finely tuned bullsh*t meter, and with this guy it would have been going off all over the place. The best he would have gotten from me is a slammed door in his face. I don't talk to door-to-door salesmen anyway. I know this is jaded of me, but I always feel they are part of an operation to case my house before they rob it.

According to her, he was not "All that and a bag of chips". More along the lines of "he's been eating too many chips" lol. We live in a military neighborhood and there are people always around. It has been a very safe area.

Sorry he would not have gotten the chance here either cause I just do not open the door when my husband is at work. I just dont trust people at all. Had I been out in the yard and he showed up he would have gotten a very bad no thanks and get to getting, since there are signs posted. They better Read before coming up here on this hill.

She can take care of herself in a situation. He was luck he didn't get the keychain. (Her keychain is a spiked knuckler) :)

Good for her ... I think it is highly unprofessional and makes me feel uneasy that a stranger would make comments like that to me. I have been told to lighten up by the person making the comment. That's when they better start ducking because something is going to be flying at them very shortly. I dislike very very much sales people coming to my door without me asking. I ignore their knocking as long as I can ... sometimes they go away. If they don't get the hint I answer the door and as soon as they draw a breath to continue their sales pitch I say no and close the door. My last encounter was with the Verizon man who told me we have FIOS. I said no and he was still talking through the door after I closed it on him. I must admit he had tenacity or something like that LOL.

He was very lucky that I was not there. I may be a Pastor, but I am also a Brown Belt and VERY capable of discouraging this kind of behaviour. :)
