Well I was at Home Depot ordering the cinders to build the raised beds with and I wandered out to the garden department. I ended up buying 5 packages of seeds. here is what I got: Tomato Super Beefsteak Gourd Large Bottle Mix Broccoli Green Goliath Winter Squash early acorn hybrid Pumpkin Big Max So I can now take those off the list that i have going for an online order. So that will save on shipping costs a tiny bit.

You are lucky to live in a place where you can be thinking of planting seeds this time of year - I'm holding my breath that we don't get frost for another month and in 2 months will be preparing for snow :( Warning though if your gourds and pumpkin do like mine I sure wouldn't put them in the raised beds - they take a lot of space. I too am planning though and this evening ex and I walked out behind the garden and next year corn and pumpkins will go further back - talking about doubling the garden area.

Oh that's good your thinking ahead :) Since you can grow year round you could just put in a few seeds for the space you have (I planted mine 4 feet apart) and as those start to mature stick more seeds in between the first set so when the old ones die off the next will already be started.

Great idea! I will definatly do that. I am getting ready to take my daughter (18) to get some more bloodwork done that her neurologist put in an order for. They are doing liver function tests because of a seizure she had in April while at her father's house in MO. her neurologist thinks she had hepatitus and that caused the seizure. We have already been through an eeg,MRI,and one round of bloodwork. This is the last set of tests till we go back to the DR. on tuesday. All of this makes me extremely nervous but her father acts like it is no big deal, he didn't even bother to tell me that she was jundice when they took her to the er after her seizure and he didn't send all the med records either.Words can't describe how I feel about him right now not good words at any rate. So I will be back on the lot later today.

WTG! I go nutso whenever seed packets are on sale. Sometimes if they are like 10 packets for a dollar I will buy seeds that I am pretty sure I will never even plant, maybe just because the packet is pretty. But seeds do last a long time if they are kept dry and out of the light, so eventually who knows? We have bought a few seeds online, but that is one thing that tends to be more rather than less expensive in cyber space. They do have wonderful seeds online that one would nev er find elsewhere, though! Can't wait to see photos of all those lovely plants once you get them going!

I know I am really excited to get them started. I am a junky when it comes to seeds and starting them I get "high" from the successfull little seedlings growing! I am a little wierd in that respect I guess. I also love it when I can find seeds on sale unfortunatly I paid full price today.
