Philosophy exam!! try it..

This was given to us way back when I was a sophomore in college.It is tricky but it's so easy to answer! this was part 4 of our exam. I can't really recall the name of the characters but I can remember what the scenario was.. John, a freshman college student, owns a parrot. The parrot that john own, unfortunately, is an annoying one. He would teach his parrot a lot of tricks but the parrot doesn't seem to be cooperating. Instead it would do the opposite of what john is teaching. The parrot always make noise that is very annoying. One day John had had enough. He shouted at the parrot, "When will you ever obey me"!! He took the parrot and put it in the freezer. John heard a noise inside the freezer and then a few seconds of silence. John opened the freezer and saw the parrot walking towards him. The parrot ask for forgiveness and promised to obey John from then on.. Now may I ask, What did the chicken do??....
