Have you ever made fresh grapefruit juice?

The first stop on our vacation was my husband's uncles place. We stayed with him for a few days in southern California. He has different citrus trees in his yard - lemon, lime and grapefruit. He also has olive trees and a vegetable garden. Well, I love grapefruits so I had one the first day we were there. It was so juicy that by the time I had peeled it I had juice all over the place! After that I would cut it up to eat it and make less mess - plus keep all the juice in it. The day before we left his house, we picked all his ripe grapefruit (about 30 or so) and made grapefruit juice. My husband squeezed 2 gallons of juice! We took a gallon on the road with us and left a gallon for his uncle. This stuff was so good, I didn't even add sugar or anything to it. And it was very refreshing after a long day on the road. I am surely going to miss that!

I certainly would enjoy that. I love grapefruit juice, and of course anything fresh is much better than canned or frozen. I get 100 % juice, in a can, no sugar, or other juices. Were his grapefruit white, pink, or red?

I love grapefuit also. His were pink, which I don't usually care for, I like the white the best! But this stuff was soooo good, it really tasted like white grapefruit. When I do buy juice, I get the 100% stuff too!
