In many ways, yes. I am both an Australian AND British Citizen but have spent a majority of my life in Australia (British Mother and Aussie Father). On top of all of that I was actually born in Asia and my wife too is Asian. So I have a mixed identity of sorts! lol. I am proud of the Australian attitude to life and the general nature of Australian people. I am also proud of how most of the rest of the world seem to see us. Being someone who has been outside of my country for over three years now; I have yet to meet someone who has anything overly negative to say about Australians. You may say that "Of course they won't say anything negative to your face because you are Australian yourself!"; but the funny thing is that my accent is not strongly Australian and never has been so most people think I am British at first. I sort of have a blend of British and Australian accents and when I am away from home the British side takes over a little more. It is also easier for people to understand me this way as I am in non-English speaking countries most of the time. When I am home though, the Aussie accent gets a little stronger! But I even get teased a little back home too sometimes because it is still not the same as most!

you have a cool mixture of nationalities there, huh. good thing for you you're not having any identity crisis. lols. yeah i believe australia is one beautiful country too. im not saying this because im talkin' to someone who lives there. i have friends who consider migrating to that country. i think it's not crowded there unlike america and philippines. and is it true that australia is one of the happiest countries? we also belong to that list. cheers =)

Most Australians are definitely happy people! We have a good quality of life and it is nowhere near as crowded as many other countries like you have said. Thanks for the best response too!

I am also a Filipino and like you, I am so damned proud of being one. As this country is one that has quite a remarkable history, this place also has contributed so much that it has even put the name Philippines in the "Map". Though it's quite saddening that recent events has created a negative image to the Filipino community, I still am proud of being one. Still there are people who give honor and Glory to our Country - recently, Charice Pempengco (not sure of the spelling). Whatever it is that paints the Philippines black, it is still a clean as white for me. I AM A FILIPINO. ^_^

Using that up and down type writing is against the rules here. Just a warning. You could get in trouble for it.

It is stated in the rules along with text speak. I don't have the time to find it right now. There are pages and pages of rules and guidelines. Maybe the moderators find it annoying? Most old people do. MyLot doesn't tell us why for all the rules. Punishment for getting caught breaking them is they remove either the post or the thread. If they do that, you loose money, so it's best to follow the rules. I just thought I'd give you a heads up. What you do after that is entirely up to you.

Yup! I am proud of being a Filipino but there is just 1 thing that I really hate in our country and that is the corruption. There are already alot of our leader that are very corrupt and it is helping us by downgrading our country...

yeah..me too! hate it hate it hate it!! another thing i don't like is the über pollution in some areas (places such as payatas?? with so much garbage i don't know if there's really no more solution to it) and going back to corruption, it starts from the question, "where do the damn extortionary taxes go??"

My nationality is American. I find a pretty good mix of people from around the world here at mylot. Great way to learn new things about other countries.
