Have you any problem with Firefox 3?

A few days ago while switching on my computer, a Firefox message has appeared on the screen asking me if I have upgraded already to Firefox 3. Since Firefox 2 has been doing great on my system, I upgraded to Firefox 3 without hesitation and with the thought that FF3 would work well as well. Within the few days that I was using it, I find it was doing really good although I haven't gone reading reviews yet about FF3 and I am not in the mood yet to go over them. My question is, is there anyone out there who have encountered any problem with Firefox 3?

I also have upgraded my FF3 recently. The only thing that I had trouble with is a toolbar I have from a site I am on will not work with it but I don't really mind. A friend of mine had a problem with a chat room after her upgrade but I don't know if she had that fixed yet. But I found it to be faster than before and I love firefox.

Hihi, on this link http://www.perfectblogger.com/2006/09/make-extensions-compatible-with-firefox2/ , is listed 3 ways to make old extensions "compatible". You can try using e.g. point 2 of the guide.

I must say that 2 months ago I was trying Firefox3 and it was a nightmare.. nothings works as I thought...It was slower and my addons were not working.. that's why I changed back to firefox2.. I think that my problems were because It was a beta version.. I'm downloading right now the new version and I'm ready to test it again

It's not working again.. It's so weird! As soon as a open firefox and open more than 2 tabs, firefox go crazy and the memory usage increase until the limit! I don't know why this happens , and I'll keep using firefox 2 until someone knows the answer..

i have downloaded the installer of this version. use it for about an hour only to find out that some of my add-ons aren't working. in short they are not compatible with the latest version of firefox. so i've tried to switch back to the previous version of firefox. I remember it was faster fox which did not match with to the latest version. im hoping that the there would be a new update for faster fox for it to work with firefox 3.

Very nice discussion. I really don't like to say but actually I am also having problem with FF3. I used password remember in firefox3 for my personnal computer. But this is not working in some cases. For EG: if i save my password for yahoomail. When I came back for next login, I again have to type me password and ff3 asked again to remember password. I don't know this is ff3 problem or my computer problem but in opera it works fine for me.

I don't know why that happens to you but not with me. It remembers my password in yahoomail and got automatically log in.

I too don't know about this problem. I meant not only for yahoomail. For other website too. And also sometime it remember password and sometime ask. I don't know what kind of problem is this so I do not report to ff3. If it is really bug, then ff3 will soon fix it. I hope so.......

Hey there...I've still never tried any version of Firefox, ever...I'm just wondering, what is the big difference? Everyone seems to say that's it's by far the best web browser out there, but I'm still yet to find any problems while using Internet Explorer...Are there some websites that you have to have Firefox to load up the pages or something? What's the deal? -Mike

I can't exactly recall some sites which say that Firefox works faster in downloading their site. I tried just now comparing the download speed of IE and FF3 (got them installed both in my pc). FF3 is faster by about 6 seconds than IE in my pc.

I am sorry but all I know is that Firefox and Internet Explorer are the only search engines in the cyberworld! That's totally new to me!

I guess I am just naive for not knowing that other search engines exist..lol

I just downloaded Firefox 3 yesterday; so far its running good. I did have it once before; but they didn't have all the add ons like FF2. But now I see they have a lot more. And more extensions are becoming compatible with FF3.

I upgraded and was having issues with downloading PDF files, and opening certain images. I have since tweaked those problems and now love the new FF

yeah, i never had any bug problem with fire fox, but i still gatta bone to pick with them. they dont support real player web recorder, often time ill be surfing for hard to find videos, then ill find it just to remember it doesent record on fire fox, so id have to copy the url and open explorer-which i dont particularly like right now.

I've had Firefox 3 for about 2 days now & have been happy with it. I was using IE prior to this, so you may accept my knowledge for exactly what it is....a novice speaking. It is MUCH better than IE (which everybody but me knew already). If I had run into any bugs, I'd be asking questions!!!

I haven't got any problem with firefox 3. It is the best browser I've encountered. Ive tried Explorer 5, 6, 7, 8, Opera 9, Firefox 1, 2, 3. And FF3 is the only browser I've been using since then. I only use explorer for those websites that only chooses explorer before even trying loading. Explorer 5 and six was fine. 7 was buggy and workable, and 8 was in beta stage which was terribly dragging. Opera 9 was great, i rank it second to FF3. Firefox 1 was very bad. It consumed a lot of resources and i didn't know why people hyped over it. FF2 was great, but not as great as Opera, and FF3 was ... z0000m.

No problems here. Except for one toolbar not working, the whole thing has worked better then even FF2 did for me. I always got weird errors with FF2 and no one could figure out why.

i've been using FF3 since it came out and so far it's been working just fine. if you ever feel it's giving you problems or if any of your programs are giving you probs, you can go to: www.filehippo.com here you can see if there are newer versions for any of your programs, but if you feel the newer versions are too buggy, you can also download the older versions ....all the way back to when the program was created.

Ok. I will try to visit that site if I have time. So far I have no problem yet. I am raising this discussion to anticipate any impending problem that may arise.

I myself have just downloaded firefox 3 myself, I've only been using it a few hours now, and it seems to be fine. I've had to fix my passwords and stuff on certain websites, but so far its alright. I just thought if I didn't like it, I could always uninstall it and go back to IE if I want to, it seems to work faster. Its a little different than IE so it takes a little getting used to.

I was also an IE just last year user before I shifted to FF2. Now it's FF3 running ok in my pc. I could also go back to FF2 if I see problems with FF3.

Hi manaoagmemoirs!! I use fire fox 3 and I can tell you confidently that I have had absolutely no problems with it! Its just as good as Fire Fox 2 but better. So rest assured and feel comfortable with your new explorer as it sure delivers what the site said it would and more. Plus net critics have rate this explorer a 5 golden stars and have done nothing but sang praises about this engine!
