Since Usain Bolt broke the world record, I wonder how fast can we run for 100 meters. Although it is a big difference because we are not professional athletes. But I am curious about your speed anyway. I forgot mine and I shall test it after I fully recover from an operation.

IT has been heck of a long time since I sprinted.
The last time I measured, it took almost a minute to finish the 100 meter sprint.
And that was like donkey years ago.
I wonder how long it would take me now. Having to lug a big pot belly around, I do not think I can still meet the one minute mark. I may try to clock myself this week end if I can get my lazy butt out of bed to go running.

Actually, I haven't done that in quite some time, I am more a 10Km runner. but I remember when I was younger I was around 14 secs (this for a 14 year old was quite good)

I'm 47 years old and I'm out of shape, I think I can do 100 meters taking a couple of time outs, I guess I'd finish in a couple of minutes. Even when I was in my best shape and played soccer I wasn't a fast runner, so I don't think I ever did it in less than 15 seconds.

So a bunch of friends of mine and I are distance runners, so we cannot sprint really fast. Mainly, our problem is not being able to accelerate at all. I remember my time was something in the high 13 seconds or low 14 seconds, which I guess is not super bad for only running races that are like 6 miles or longer now.
