then and now

then if we want to express emotions we can do it by letters it seems emotional but now we need some external things like mobile, mail, smilies.. and so many things..

THEN they did not have the technology that makes our lives easier, NOW we do. THEN they had to walk miles and miles to be able to reach a destination, NOW we can board a bus, a car, an airplane or a boat. THEN they had to hunt for their food, NOW we could easily buy them (well, provided that we have the money to) However..... THEN they had time to spend together as a family, NOW we make being busy with things as an excuse not to spend time with family. THEN they knew who their neighbors are and were always ready to help, NOW we are lucky if there is one neighbor whom we consistently say "hello" too. THEN they worked for a living, NOW it seems like we are living to work!
