How would you react if your boss told you that he'd do your work and you to sit

in his cabin. I just heard from some person about a boss who wanted to do all the work himself and never allowed his subordinates to do anything. He was a perfectionist and trusted only his actions. So, instead of delegating work he would do it all by himself. Just thinking about it and I was like WOW. Just sit in the boss' cabin and see him sweat it out on your job. Would be kinda fun, woudn't it?

Yeah, I too hope my boss becomes one of that sort. Then life will be fun. Do work only when you feel like doing it else delegate it to your boss

I bet, it would be a wonderful scene to see your coat-wearing boss mopping the floor. It is possible, isn't it? For the exercise part you could supervise over him and instruct him what is to be done by just going behind him wherever he goes, I guess that would be an exercise too

Not exactly extra-terrestrial. Such people do exist, just that they have reached the management position by hard-work from entry-level positions and it becomes very hard for them to share their work with others as this has not been done before. It will take time for the person to recognise that he should trust other and ensure its completion rather than doing everything himself.

It would drive me nuts. In the end i think I'd have to change jobs as I'd hate to sit around and getpaid for something I'm not doing. I'm one who really hates to just do nothing.

Yeah, I think for the workaholics and for anybody for that matter the starting days would feel very good but I think after the initial days you'll feel really bored unless you've mylot access in your office. If mylot's around I don't think anybody can feel bored.
