Do you mark the first response in your discussion as best response?

The only time I give the best response to the first responder is when they have taken the time to really answer my question. Sometimes I find that people rush to be the first on the answer and then they don't bother to do more than write a one sentence response. I also wait until near the end of the month and then decide who the best response is. This could also be because I forget to go and do it until then. LOL

no i don't i really read all the answer in my discussion and give the pencil only to the one deserving and not just because he/she is the first to respond in my started discussion..

I usually wait a week or two before I decide which is the best response. And its not always going to be the first one.And If people are doing this then maybe I am or someone else is losing out on getting the best response. It also sounds to me if there choosing the first response; then there not reading none of the others. There probably not ready any of them.

I think you should mark the best response because it was the best not becuse it was first. the others are right, it would be unfair tothose who put in good responses

I always try to read all the responses first before I mark the best response. But sometimes it is not possible because people can still respond even after you have marked the best response. I don't think I always mark the first response as the best, but I have done so sometimes. Have a nice day!

No I don't give it to the first responder. I read them all and then I give the best response to the one that deserves it. By that I mean the one that best give me a good meaning to the discussion at hand I think that is fair. Sometime answers doesn't have anything to do with the subject.
