im a dog lover, cause i feel a realtionship with a dog is deeper than on with a cat. we have a cat and all it does is tear things up, poop, and stare at me...often he follows me around the house meowing...wanting me to pet him. seems like a pet that keeps on taking than giving .Dogs from my expirience really make me feel good, when u first get home they go wild, they are very protective over you, you can actually play multiple games with dogs, go out running, oh and you can talk to them with an almost certainly that they understand.

Without a doubt I'd go for dogs. After all as they say "Dogs are man's best friend." They're the most loyal pets around, if you know how to take care and give love to them. They'd be by your side come hell or high waters.

And that the crazy part about them,no matter what happends as long as you treat your dog well.- expect equal or more love coming back to you, The no.1 reason i love dogs, we've all seen that woman jogger running at night, with that dog by her side, i love this because the dog not only is loving the run with his/her owner...but that dog puts it as their duty to protect you. come near that lady, and i bet you got that dogs un demanded attention.

Even though dogs are cuter and seem sweeter I'd pick a cat. Because they have a mind of their owns...Give a dog a bone and he will do anything you say...you have to work for a cat . I agree Dogs make me feel good too...but cats keep things interesting. You really dont know what they are thinking and what they will do next.

i have enough problems figuring out my girlfriend, why would you want waste your life serving and trying to understand a cat, seriously. i rather be ouside playing fetch, then on the internet in a cat forum asking why kittys meow. if you working for a cat, u dont have self respect.i dont understand this one... give a dog a bone and they'll do anything you say( yeah, well maybe after they finish it) ...you have to work for a cat.( i hope this isnt the reason why people get cats) u shouldnt work for anyone except your own kids. im sorry i just thought this comment was ludacris, but i cant say thats not how people think.

I like to play with dogs but i like to play with kittens.. for me if anything is in its young age i like it so much but if it is grown then i stay a bit away since im scared of them.. i like to play with dogs its because they understand humans very well more than any animals according to me.. from the childhood i have seen only dogs as pets in my place.. so i dont like to have any animal other than dog

i also like dogs better than cats, well i have no dog or cat in our house but i would love to have one dog, besides in the office we have 2 pets, both of them are dogs and i really love them. i enjoyed taking care of them. i don't like the smell of cats, specially their poop.

I am not a fan of either dogs or cats. I used to quite like dogs, until my neighbours dog nearly bit my hand off although my neighbour assured me "it only barks, it doesn't bite", it is not really her fault as it had never tried to bite anyone, but did bark at everyone. I am also allergic to fur, this makes my asthma worse, my nose run and my eyes water, so I would rather not be around either animal.

I love all kinds of animals but I would have to say that dogs definitely do it for me! I don't have a dog sadly, but I used to have a pet dog named Patch and I truly miss him! He was always there by myside and showed unconditional love and that's what I love about dogs, all animals infact. As you mention, I would leave Patch at home and when you returned from work in the evening he would become over excited and that truly was a wonderful thing to experience. In your pet's eyes you are the most important person in their world! I would love to have another dog in the future, but I think that I would like to live out in the countryside first! That's a nice scene that I picture for myself, living in the country and relaxing during the dark evenings, Fido sitting by my side with his head on my lap, oh and take in that innocent stare!! Now I'm going to return to reality and work towards that wonderful goal!!! Andrew

I am a CAT lover. I have three cats, and I love them all very much. They have been with me for 12 years, and they are so much fun.

Well I have had both cats and dogs and I love dogs the best. Someone once said that dogs have masters, cats have subjects. All the cats that I have had have never been loving the way my dogs are. Dogs are loyal, devoted, affectionate creatures and they will protect you no matter what. They can be too clingy sometimes, like my current boy, but I would rather have that than a cat who wouldn't even let me stroke her. I like pets who want to be cuddled and patted and stick by my side and that is just what dogs do.

I love both dogs and cats, however I have an allergy to cats which prevents me from adopting a house full. I am so devastated to read about all of the unwanted cats on the online classifieds. Sometimes, I am just seconds away from adopting a stuffy nose and itchy eyes. So, with this said, I am reluctantly a dog person. Cursed allergies...

I think I would go for a dog although I also own a cat but dogs are more realiable when it comes to thieves and burglars. Currently I own 4 dogs and 3 cats its hard to take care of them but it sure is worth the effort. Good Day and Happy posting!

For me, I prefer dog. I'm a dog lover too but my parents won't allow me to keep one at home. I love dogs more than cats because i think dogs are more active and obedient than cats. For dogs, i think it's better to raise them since they are puppies. Dogs can play more tricks than cats.

Hi! In fact,I am not an animal lover, but I don't mind to have them in my house also. I don,t have a dog in my house ,but my next door neighbor has one big,and argreesive one. Then one day I was save its life from somebody try to kill it by mix poison in food for that dog,at the first time I saw it is going to die and I have to make a dicision that I will let it die because it deserve to die and there will not agreesive dog to bit other people pass by anymore, but then I realize that my Idea may be wrong so I decided to take it to the animal clinic and lucky the doctor can save its life in the last minute I call the dog, owner and tell the story they appriciate and thankful for my help.Today this dog is still alive and not so much argeesive as use to be anymore and I don't know the reason. Then, about the cat..on the others day somebody passed by my house(my guess)and dropped two little cats male and female in the backyard of my house and at 1st I try to avoice them by pretend not to see them, but it did not help they moved into my kichen area and took as their home I did not force them to move away insted fed them food and water haha now I got two cats..

I'm sure they're all cute and smart. But in my opinion, cat's more easily kept home especially in city.

Having 2 dogs & 2 cats, I LOVE BOTH of them. Dogs are friendlier, but cats can be more loving. As I've been sitting here today one of my kitties has been laying on my chest justa purring. The other was wrapped around the back of my neck kissing my cheek. If you talk to a cat like it's human, it WILL understand. It may choose to ignore you, but it does understand. I had a female Calico for 21 years & she used to talk to me for hours on end. There were times I'd tell her what to do & she's argue with me. Her YES meow was definitely different than her NO meow. She also had a meow for MILK & never hesitated to ask when she wanted milk. A good number of years I had her I dated a guy named Mike. When she wanted his attention, she had a meow for MIKE & it was totally different from her MILK meow. I talk to ALL of my animals like they are my children & they ALL respond accordingly. I've only had my 2 kitties for about a month & they know what NO means. When they are bad I thump their little noses. Now when I c0ck that finger to thump them, they squint their eyes closed & wait for the thump. Since you have decided that you like your dog BEST, maybe the cat senses it & doesn't try as hard. Poor kitty!!!

I like both, but right I have two kittens. I normally prefer cats for several reasons that are cats are so cute and adorable and easier to taken care of. When I am done with college, etc... I would want have a dog to be my best friend someday when I have a house.

I would definitly choose a cat they have such personalities, yes they can be big brats sometimes but I love them. Plus they are easier to take care of because they arn't as high maintenence. Plus dogs love to jump on me and I hate that. Now I miss my kitten Baby.
