hears my reasons for asking, a few months ago I was on my computer listening to what i consider to be christian music while at the same time chatting with my sister. when she asked me what i was listening to and i told her, she told me that that was not christian music (I strongly disagree with her). Here are some of the artiste i regularly listen to; Da truth, Lecrea,J.R,Flame, Jeremy Camp etc. Apparently because the music is fast (Rap, Rock) then that make it non christian never mind the powerful lyrics that these artiste sings. So here's my question; When you hear the term Christian Music, what genre do you expect to hear?

I expect to hear music of any style that will contain a Christian message in the lyrics. It doesn't all have to be church music or Gospel, doesn't your sister know that?

seemingly she thinks that once the music is not 'soft' then it's not christian

My mom also thinks the same way as your sister. She says there is no presence of God in such kind of music.
