I was just responding to a friends discussion and got to thinking that I DO feel safer shopping online then I did when I was buying things about 8 years ago, my shopping came to a screeching halt and I just never realized that I had gotten comfortable with the idea of shopping online until the topic was brought up. I like that there is so many more sites to shop from and that you can review a store your interested in buying from (shopper review sites) and the rating systems they have now and most sites have security in place, you can tell by the image of a lock in the bottom of your browser. Another thing is that there is well known names to buy from like my favorites: BarnesandNobles and Borders and because of Ebays rating system I will shop from them too but not even consider it if they didnt have that. Does any of that matter to you or do you just disregard online shopping all together?

I never would have even given it a second though, it wasn't untill recently that I have shopped online. I am always leary of it ever since my brother had his information stolen last year, they spent around 1,000$ and he endeed up being responsiable for 300 of it. The only time I ever buy online is if there is something I absolutley have to have and am unable to find it elsewhere, and normally will only shop at amazon since I have had no problems trusting them with my credit information thus far.

Yea, Amazon is a name I trust and thats good to hear you have not had any problems or your brother and the good thing for me is that they not only have books for others products you can shop for. Shipping always gets me though and thats another big factor that has kept me buying online for so long and only recently have websites seem to have gotten the hint and included buying incentives like, free shipping or free shipping for items over 50$ etc. Do you get deals like these?
