Celebs Paid Scaled for Being on Muppets

I read the other day that celebrities are paid scale for being on the Muppets. The Scale was a little over $700 per day. I'm wondering if that is what an actor who is not well known gets for a brief appearance with lines on a TV show and if whether it is primetime or a daytime soap makes a difference. Anyone know about this? And while on the subject what do extras, no lines, on TV shows and movies, for that matter, make?

Are they still making a muppets series? haven't seen any since The Muppets Tonight (and that would've been over 10 years ago now ) remember watching the origanal series in the 80s (- must of been repeats)
Was this how much guest stars got paid at the time or what they get in royalties now the origanal episodes are being released on dvd.
