Would you guys want to earn extra money this way?

This is a trick question. If you were sitting beside an old lady inside a train or a bus, she stood up and left because it was already her stop, you noticed that she left her purse on the seat, would you run after her and give her the purse or would you rather consider this an opportunity for extra income (meaning not to return the purse and have it all for yourself)?

I'd rather go after the old lady and give her the purse.. Rather than keeping it and scream every night because your conscience will eat you and your mind will consider it as stealing... I wanna have a goodnight sleep every night so.. yea.. (=.. happy mylotting mate

i will defintely go to the lady and give the money. she might need it for some important reason. my parents say that if u do something wrong and hide it u definitely get the punishment in any way. further this money will take away ur peace it will make to think abt it often. if i some time i will ask the persons nearby whether it belongs to them otherwise i will hand it over to a authority concerned. sometimes we may also lose something and some one will help us by returning it to us we must always be satisfied with what we get legitimately

I would give it to the train driver or bus driver! I have had to stop the police driving down the street because the mail carrier dropped someone's check in the street! It happens and it is best to return it anyway you can. Sometimes the person getting it back is not so gracious, as happened to my husband once or twice but it is still worth it anyway!

I couldn't possibly keep the money. I would run to the front and have the driver stop right away. The feeling of doing something good like that would out weigh the few dollars and the guilt that would go along with it. Unfortunately society has to many people that would keep the money and that is sad.

It's great to see there are a lot of honest people here! I would also return the money to the lady. If I couldn't run after her to give back the money myself I would find some other way such as giving it to the bus driver or to the police. I always try to imagine how it would be if the tables were turned. What if the money in her purse was all she had? What if she needed it for food or rent? Not to mention other items that she might need such as ID or medication. Ultimately, my conscience would not let me rest until the purse found its way to the rightful owner. The knowledge that I am doing the right thing is far more valuable to me than the few extra dollars of "extra income".
