I have watch the movie and I have read the book. I think it was a mistake to remove the part in the book where Jamie got married to Landon because it is where you realize the reason behind the title. I think the book is still better.

I love the book, really. It had me imagine a better Jamie and Landon than the movie. But I also liked some scenes in the movie that weren't in the book, like the star gazing. All the same, I love the book more. :)

I love the movie since I'm a fan of mandy moore but I prefer the book since the book is much more detailed. Books stimulates the mind since it makes you think and imagine. I get to understand the lead guy's character more through reading. I actually cried while reading the book unlike in the movie.

I agree. The book is definitely better but I still admire the movie. It'll always be one of my all time favorites.

Movies cut sections, scenes and characters of a story while the book tells it all. Books allow you to go beyond what can be seen but it allows you to imagine beyond what is seen. And one thing I prefer books over movie is the thing that you can have learnings from it like for instance you can enrich your vocabulary, you can create a scenario things like that, which gives you ideas and additional thoughts or inputs.

I like both the book and the movie, the book is splendid, as we all know, anyway, almost all the books of Nicholas Sparks have that certain sparkle (no pun intended). I also like the director and the screenwriter's attack on the movie, some scene might be missing, but the theme is still there. But, just like the fate of all books-turned-movies, something will always be lacking, imagine a number of hundred-pages packed into a one and a half hour movie, imposible, right? The book will always have a place in my heart as well as the movie, I love the soundtrack, by the way.

I still believe in books because it enhances your imaginary skills and usually movies cut most of the good parts in books.

i agree. as of my experience with Da Vinci Code, the book is better than the movie, I felt more action and suspense while reading than when I saw the movie.
