Rice is also the main dish here too in Thailand. Sometimes I prefer noodle or bread but rice is always my first choice if I have to choose.

Oh, same here. I need to have rice every meal or else I'll feel like I'm on a diet. We Asians really rely on rice, don't we? I can't imagine living on a western diet, with just meat and bread or potatoes.

Hi, I too love rice a lot with many vegetarian curries. Rice is our staple food and I cannot leave it even for a single meal. I love rice with potato fry or any pickle. Biriyani, fried rice and other rice items also make good meal. I cannot survive on bread or milk for a long time. Eating rice makes me feel satisfied and I feel happy.

here in the philippines we have rice 3 times a day. yes, including breakfast..well for most people, i think. But most of the time breakfast includes a very hot pandesal (hot small buns) a spread or eggs or bacon or whatever and of course coffee....oh you can serve both if you like. a choice between fried rice and hot pandesal, you can serve it with pork n beans, eggs, corned beef and whatever your heart desires... mmm yummy!!!! Now that's a heavy breakfast! :)
