Every once in a while i hear a song or a story that makes my head tingle. It always seems to be the ones that make me go awww thats so touching or i want to cry now. Examples of songs that do it are: Streets of heaven 3 wooden crosses Stories like the one about the little girl buying a miracle or the shoes the little boy is buying for his moms at Christmas. Are there songs and stories that do this to you? Or am i just weird?!

I would have to say there are some songs that if I hear them they make my head tingle and make me want to cry most of them are country songs that make me think or remind me of the past, one such song is Holes in the Floor of Heaven and every time I hear it it makes me think of my grandparents who have passed and it makes me tear up a little and there are several other songs that I can not think of at the moment.

There are songs that just make water pour from my eyes, but it is not exactly crying. Usually it is praise and worship songs, some sad romantic songs, too. I do cry over touching stories. My husband just says that certain things give him goosebumps. It can be classical, or country, or praise and worship music. If you are weird, then we are members of the same club.

I am not overly sentimental about those things, but I do hear stories that make me angry, but angry enough to want to do something about it. Kenny Rogers "Ruby, don't take your love to town" about the woman married to the wounded Viet Nam vet, and how she's leaving him alone and defenseless while she goes out galavanting with able-bodied men. OH that pi$$ed me right off, because my husband is a veteran, not as wounded as the vet in the song, but he was wounded in combat just the same, and the fact that someone could be THAT COLD HEARTED? Oh that makes me mad!! But it makes me mad enough to want to go out and HELP veterans, and pulverize anyone who woould ever be so selfish and cruel as to do what Ruby did, in that song. You are not weird, and neither am I. We are all affected in different ways by such stories.

Well, the song that does this the most for me is "These are the times" by Dru Hill. I love that song because it reminds me of the love I had for my high school sweetheart, and also the love that I hope to find one day. When it came out back in the late 90's, most songs were about what a man would do to a woman and some such nonsense. This group chose to sing about not having to rush to do something, and that really touched me. Here is the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aSQBWF7qgg A story that does this to me is the Matchstick Girl. Its sad and beautiful at the same time. Its a short story, and I don't want to ruin it for you, so here's the link for that: http://hca.gilead.org.il/li_match.html

Yeah it is sad, but I think its beautiful too how the Grandmother came to call her home, and how she didn't have to feel pain anymore.
