Is it ok to breastfeed in public?

I don't mind it by my husband is against it. But i don't want to breastfeed in a public restroom, it's so boring, there are 4 walls and that is all. At least in a public place you can talk to your friends or family, or watch the scenery. Why do people hate it so much? It's a natural part of life.

As long as it is discreet I have no issues with it personally. But I do feel that whenever a Mother is able it should be done somewhere as private as possible. I appreciate however that this is just not always possible! A woman can still be in public and very discreetly feed her child without flashing everything everywhere! If you are passing by and don't like what you see then don't look!

I agree. I think covering up is a necessity, no-one has to see what is happening. As long as it is covered there should not be a problem. I think my husband is over reacting, is it just a mans view?

Your husband is more than likely being protective of people seeing things that he feels they shouldn't. It's perfectly understandable. I am sure there is a happy medium.

Who wants to eat breakfast lunch or dinner in a rest room, not me!I think you should feed where ever you want as long you are covered.I always used baby blankets to cover.

Thankyou lindsey, i agree with you. Men don't realise that when the baby is having lunch, we are too! I will take a blanket with me.

You said natural part of life like that everyone as to take. If you see people look strangely at this if you do. what your husband said is right all the husband as possessive on their wife .
