What do you feel if distant relatives are only present during party or ocassions

i would think they need to stay home unless invited.that's about the same thing as people just showing up around supper time. they might get a surprise if they pulled that at my house.

Honestly, that has NEVER happened to me. Even back east I don't think I've ever met anyone more than, maybe, a thrice removed. I know I must have much more distant relatives - but I've never met any, well, one who was so distant that she might not have even been related.

this is very common in our country...Philippines...yes we encounter that many times in a year...because our family likes to celebrate, especially fiesta...and even my own guests and friends will not be invited coz i know i will not have enough food left for them coz relatives are so many.

I feel very angry with relatives inviting some one on their own to my party. As for themselves being present I dont mind.

It always happen to us as well but I don't tolerate thus attitude like that. They say I am bad person but here is my story. Before when we have nothing nobody wants to knew us and then when I go abroad almost the whole village become our relatives and the worst is they always tell me " you should share you blessings " and I answer them like this " nobody help me to find thus blessings why should I share " that's why they don't like me. And besides I cant believe they go to my house when I come back and say can I barrow money because for sure you have some. Unreal.....
