Has Anyone Thought About This....?

Since the HG's don't have news of the outside world, Renny has no idea that another hurricane has just hit New Orleans. Of course it wasn't as bad as they expected, but it was still bad. Will her beauty shop have been damaged? Is there anyone handling things for her in her absense? I don't know...does she own her own shop or work in someone else's? I cannot imagine what she will think or go through once the show ends and she finds out the big news. What a shock that is going to be for her!

Hopefully the show producers are in contact with Renny's family and if anything bad happened to her family, her house or her work, I"m sure they would let her know. Remember 9/11? I can't rememeber the house guest's name but there was a gal in the house that was from New York and they sat everyone down in the house and told them what was going on and gave her the choice to go home. They also made sure to update her on her family, etc. I think the producers would probably do the same for Renny.

WOW! I didn't know BB was on that long ago. The first I ever heard of it was in 2004 which was the first time I watched it and have been watching it ever since. I knew there had been one the year before, but that was all I knew about it. So that would mean it was on way back in 2001! Where was I?

Oh and I am sure her family was evacuated just like everyone else since it was a forced evacuation. I know a few stayed behind. I would think CBS would tell Renny if something bad had happened. It still would be a big shock though to come out of the house and find out New Orleans has been flooded again by a hurricane and she never even knew about it.

I agree, if nothing bad happened and they don't tell her - she is going to be shocked to hear what she "missed". And yep Big Brother was on back in 2001. In fact they have been on for 9 years I believe. This BB is BB10. They had one every year except for this year there were two (the "winter" BB). My daughter was born in July 1999 and spent her first 1 1/2 years in & out of the hospital and I remember watching BB in the Motel across from the hospital. Seams like such a long time ago! By the way, great point about the hurricane, I didn't even think about the fact that poor Renny didn't know the excitement (not the good kind) she was missing at home.

I think the show producers are probably in close contact with Renny's family and would let her know if anything bad happened to her family, her home or her business. Remember 9/11? I can't remember the name of the house guest but there was a gal in there that was from New York. They sat the house down and told them about what was going on in the outside world. They updated that house guest on her family and I think everyone was given the choice to stay or leave. They all stayed. I'm sure the producers would do the same with Renny.

I have never even thought about that. Renny does own her own shop from the sounds of it. I agree that the producers are probably in touch with Rennys family so if there were an emergency they would let her know. It would be horrible to go threw this experience to end up going back home to disaster.

I had heard discussion about this that she new before going in that this is hurricane season and I'm sure she is having everything taken care of in her absense. I was thinking she might be going home soon but she actually wouldnt be she would be going to the jury house.

I am sure if something were to happen to her family or anything they would let her know. If I were her and something happened to my family and they didn't let me know I would be furious. They can't keep something like that from a houseguest. I am sure they have some sort of liabitly if that were to happen. All it said was owner so I think she owns her beauty salon. Hopefully things are ok with her family as well as her shop.

I didn't hear about any persons getting harmed by the hurricane since most were evacuated ahead of time. So I am sure her family is fine. They would have to let her know if something had happened to someone in her family. It would be a big shock to find out there was a hurricane and flooding and not even to have known about it at the time because you were sequestered away in the BB house.
