I would like to share a broadband connection to two computers. How can it be possible? I'm quite a newbie with networking and it's a little bit confusing. What devices will I need in this type of connection?

i think every broadband modem has two ports, one usb and one ethernet. if u have these two u can easily connect two computers. but if u dont have two ports and if u have only one ethernet cable, u will have to buy a hub or switch in order to share the internet connection. in case of hub u dont need any configuration. just connect the modem to the hub and use one RJ45 ethernet cable for each computer. if u have a switch u will have to configure it a little bit for maximum perforamance

If you already have one attached to the internet AND have network cards/ports in both machines then the simplist route is to use a CROSS OVER cable to connect the two networking ports on the PCs, share the internet connection on the machine on the net and get the second machine to use the first machines to access the net. Getting a router with internet connections is a better solution but the viability of that depends on what sort of internet connection you have. A

The easyest way is by getting a router either wired, or wireless and that way you can have 2 or more computers share your broadband connection.

You will need a router to do that. You have to ask the help of someone in the know. Even if you the router and you do not know how to install it will not work. I wish you can find one. It's a great savings if you maximize the use of your internet connection.

yep, you just need a router. plug it and its done. If your computer is old, just make sure you have a NIC/LAN.
