Jay is twelve years older than Mario. If Mario's age two years from now is half Jay's age six years from now, how old will each be ten years from now?

x = Jay's current age y = Mario's current age Jay is twelve years older than Mario = x = 12 + y Mario's age 2 years from now = y + 2 Jay's age 6 years from now = x + 6 So if Mario's age 2 years from now is half Jay's age 6 years from now = y + 2 = (x + 6)/2 after doing the math, you get that Jay is 26 years old and Mario is 14 years old at this time. So, ten years from now, Jay will be 36 and Mario 24.
