There is always one day a month i will not sleep at all. I have no idea why i do this but its always there. Now usually i have trouble falling asleep, i just cant relax to fall asleep. I end up staying up late until the point where i cant stay awake any longer then go to bed.

I never have problem in sleeping. I will sleep like a baby and nothing will make me wake up from my beauty sleep.

I suspect that some of the reasons that I have trouble sleeping are: stress, staying up too late (which leads to being "over-tired"), eating too close to bedtime (no caffeine for me! usually a bagel with cream cheese...), having a mind cluttered with thoughts that prevents the mind from clearing for sleep... things like this. I started a similar discussion thread and received many responses, asking people especially for some of their solutions. Obviously, some things make for worse sleeping - caffeine, eating too close to bedtime, etc. Some solutions included having a writing tablet next to bed (to get things off your mind so you don't have to try to remember them), not eating within a certain time frame before bedtime, taking a relaxing bath before bedtime, drinking hot tea (chamomile, I believe, is usually recommended), exercising during the day to tire oneself out for the evening, eating properly, not drinking (water or other liquids) too close to bedtime (nighttime trips to the restroom undermine a solid night's sleep), etc. Hopefully you kind get rid of your trouble sleeping!

It could be stress or anxiety. Or I could be thinking about the next day's work or activities. I could have eaten too much, so indigestion. Or excitement, if I'm flying off for a holiday the next day. Or it could be I had slept too much during the daytime!
