What kind of computer monitor do you have? I don't really like changes, and I am the type of person that will keep out dated things (appliances) etc. Until they break or no longer function. Do you have one of those new flat screen monitors or a laptop?
Mines is the big bulky kind that takes up half the computer desk. It is working real good I have no problem with it so why change.

hehe, me too. my sunbeam mixer is from 1967 !
in fact if i could fix the computer, i'd have it forever.
when i lost my job in 2004, my daughter and SIL got me a dell.
as she said, it was either free shipping or a flat screen.
so, i have one of the HUGE ones, too. it's actually on my grandmother's table in my office. it wouldn't even fit comfortably on my desk.
my father saved and fixed everything !

I have a new flat screen. I definitely like it better. It seems to be better on my eyes for some reason. I would hate to have to go back.

I still use the old CRT monitors, like as you said, take up half the space of your computer. I think they're actually better than the flat-screens. LCD screens can't compare to CRT monitors when it comes to picture quality, actually.
Sometimes I wish I had a LCD screen though, cause they're so light and space efficient. LCD screens do have lower response times though.

I have the bulky one too... I like this because the radiation is low compared to the LCD monitor I have at office, I have to wear my eyeglass when doing my job.

Chevee, I am the same way, my son always jokes and tells everyone that I would be using one of the old "brick" car phones if I had my way.. I like my monitor just fine, even if it is a bit big and outdated.. It works perfectly and I see no reason to change unless it tears up, then I will get a new modern flat panel monitor.. But for now, mine is just fine, I also can't afford to upgrade everytime someone invents something new..
