You didn't give much information. I looked at your photos but didn't see one of you. Now days a good conditioner will help take care of it. Back when I was young, we'd trim just the ends several times close together...NOT cut the hair but just trim the ends. The hair usually grows faster when you do this so you can trim it a little more frequently & still keep the length. I had a boyfriend whose hair touched his waist but the ends were split real bad. I trimmed it about every 2 weeks until it got healthier then I only did it once a month. His hair went from looking like straw to looking healthy. I hope this helps you!!! You can thank Howard for this info as he didn't know the answer to your question & asked if I'd help!!!

now u are talking my language. i was a hairdreeser for 47 years as well as an antique dealer along w/it for about 20 years. a good regular trim is the best thing for split ends. your shampoo & conditioner needs to be a good one, not anything from wal-mart.

Does that go for men too? Men can suffer from split ends too can't they? A good shampoo and conditioner you recommend one that is separate? or one which is a mixture of the two or doesn't it matter? Thanks for your advice on the subject.

sure men have split ends just like women do. if u work outside the elements will cause them. getting your hair trimmed regularly helps alot. talk to your hairdresser about a good shampoo & conditioner for your hair. she or he should be able to reccomend what u need.

The only way I know is to cut them off and then use balsam after shampooing

You should try having your split ends trimmed every six to 8 weeks or so. You should also try a strengthner that combacts this type of issue.

How long ago did you have your hair cut? If ages then go and get a very good haircut to get rid of the spilt ends and then use some spilt end shampoo on them when you wash your hair. Hope that helps you on your way.
