I know this has been discussed before I just have to let mines out too. I am wondering if some of the newer user are are asking for friends request by looking at the avatars. I am some what new myself, I am not complaining or trying to talk down on anyone just inquisitive.
I have a request from a user with just one point.
I am wondering if my avatar has anything to do with it. A heart is the signature of Love

I don't know if it has anything to do with the avatars or not. Mine is totally different from yours and I've had some new users ask for friend requests before. I think they see a discussion they like and think they'd like talking more. That's one reason I believe we get friend request anyway.

Maybe it has an impact too! LOL! But, as what I have learned with other members, they will accept once they will observe that you're an active member here and active in their post! I met a friend here who will do the observation first before accepting friends.
In my case, I do approve any request all the time, I will appreciate avatar but not my sole basis![/i]

I am not sure although it could be, I think this avatar you have now is really nice, and it is a pretty friendly avatar and so it could well be that attracting people!

i dont know about others but i usually ask friends request when someone comments on my or a friends discussion that seems to have my same interests or i find their response very good.

hi chevee I have no real idea. the heart is a nice symbol
'but I doubt if that alone causes new people to ask you
to approve them for friendship. I also get a lot of new users with just one or two points, and I now do not accept anyone who has not at least twenty points. as I have had a lot of one point people who I accepted and they have still no points and never respond to anyof my discussions at all.

Hi Chevee. First of all I like your avatar very much. Back to your topic, I for one, don't base whom I will add as friend as to their avatar. I add everyone who contributes to my topic and I do remember them by their name and not with their avatar. Some members here, adds a friend based on their number of posts. Some just want to add friends.

Funny I don't look at really aske for frends request just by looking at the avatar, its by their responses I get from them and your avatar suits you because you are a warm hearted person and gives out a lot of love.
