I am 20 and can't seem to keep a job, I hate working for other peole, I don't like the structure. instead I rather work for myself, like make jewelry and sell it on the beach, i did that once and I made more in one day than I would in a week at a job. Is there something wrong with me for not wanting to make others rich?

No, it just means you know now what most people don't by 50, you are meant to be an entepreneur. Best of luck to you with your jewelry, you should sell it on ebay as well, then you have a global market.

I always have the same thoughts like urs. It all started because i tot working by myself is no hassle. But the fact is we are lazy and we dont want to take the risk to be scolded by the boss, to be critised by colleague, and that shows we are very afraid and NOT ORGANISED. You have to change your mind set otherwise that will bring you nowhere. Dont feel safe just because you ONCE earned alot of money in a day by sellig ur handmade jewelleries. Its not safe. The next day, you might not earn the same amount of money. I suggest you to change ur perception and just do it because... WHETHER U LIKE IT OR NOT, U HAVE TO DO IT!

this is sad that people think the way you do, you are the one who is afriad...you don't want to take the risk and do things for yourself, you would rather have a pay check handed to you for the rest of your life...NOT ME

You like to make jewelry and sell it at the beach? That means you're a hippie. :) I am just kidding, so don't get upset! You are okay to not want to work for other people, and wanting to work for yourself. You ought to start up a website (if you haven't already) and sell your stuff through there, and there are like over a hundred free classfieds you could post in to get the word out about your stuff.

Maybe you should consider doing it more often. Start a website too and sell it there. I personally do not like working for others, but when faced with the fact that you can't pay bills unless you have money coming in, you need to work where you can.

There is NOTHING wrong with you! I think that is awesome that you can make more money in a single day selling jewelry than in an entire week at a regular job. I was actually thinking about making jewelry myself because it's something I enjoy doing. I looked into starting an ebay business, but haven't done it yet. Have you ever thought about selling stuff on ebay?

I encourage people that they must follow their passion and try to discover what they really want out of life. Sometimes it is that the job cant keep you! Do not stay with something or someone that isnt excellent for you. At your age, it is the perfect time to use your freedom to grow into the human being that you want to be, and not what the world expects you to be!

Nope. some people are not cut out for working for someone else. Maybe you could do something on your own. You should however get some experience with people before you branch out on your own. Its a long hard journey but you will enjoy it in the end. Best of Luck.

No, there are a lot of people in society who feel the same way. If you have the ability to work on your own and earn a living wage, I'd say go for it. Working for others never gets any better. They are always in it for what they can get for themselves and don't really consider the needs of the employees. You have a chance to earn far more by building a business of your own than you do working for someone else.

I think that to truly be proficient and "good" at a job you have to enjoy it! I have lost every job I ever had until I found one that I really enjoyed! If you can make that much selling jewlery than why aren't you doing that? Especially if you enjoy doing it so much?

ok, let us look at the facts: 1. young -under 55 yrs old; 2. hate working for other people; 3. don't like structure; 4. would rather work for self; 5 has a proven skill (making jewelry that someone will actually buy. Looks like you have your answer - make your jewelry and sell it because you do that better than you do picking up a paycheck!!!

This ia Good. Being in Business for yourself can be a Very rewarding life and Career. I Sold at the local Swap Meets, and shows for a couple of yrs, and the $$ there for a while was nice. I also tried Ebay and did OK for a while as well. Have you considered finding other sites to make $$ working from home? I am doing just that, plus working Full time. I meet so many wonderful people thru the Online Business I am in.

It shows that your mind set is abit wayward. Don't worry you will gain the momentum back and settle down soon. Learn from this, never give up anything. Workhard in every small thing initially slowly u will settle.

there's nothing wrong with you for not wanting to work for the man. many people out there start their own companies for the same purpose that you've stated - they don't like structure and they don't like working for other people. i give you credit for doing what you do on the beach! and i'd love to see more of your jewelery!
