Obama's Change Includes Government Funded Re-Education Camps

Obama recently talked of a massive "civilian national security force" to rival that of the military in size, strength and funding. The model for this new civilian group is none other than an outfit called Public Allies which Obama helped found and that his wife is now Executive Director of. What it actually does is train activists and protesters. Read all about it ... http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=74462 Any thoughts?

redyellowblackdog's re-education program. All government programs consume resources and produce very little benefit except to government beaurcrats. There you go. All the re-education anyone needs. Savings to the US TAXPAYER? Inestimable to the point of being PRICELESS.

This is the first time I'm hearing of this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will have to do my research.

Until I do some more research on this matter and find things from reliable sources that either condemn this or show positive info about it, I will not make a decision one way or the other. Though I must say that an activist community oriented group sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

So, what exactly is wrong with being an activist or a protester? I don't mean those that get violent, I don't advocate that type of "activism" for one minute but I think it would be great if we had more young people who did become activists in causes they believe in and without peaceful protest things seldom ever change. Annie, Annie, Annie! What a radical thought! The Founding Fathers were activists for a cause in which they believed and just look what they brought about. Activism is dangerous - it leads people to think for themselves and decide whether or not the government is acting in their best interests, and if it is not, to support candidates that will work in their best interests as elected officials are supposed to do. It encourages them to look at what's not working and figure out ways to make it work. Activism is scary because it questions the status quo and challenges us all to work together to create a world in which we want to live.

On the surface nothing... however it is when you get to the anti-American pro-Communist activism that Obama is calling for... then it becomes a big problem. When you consider the fact that Obama is heavily represented and supportive of ACORN and all the illegalities associated with that organization and others like it, then the reality of his goals shows through. When you look into Obama's background and history, and see who he has surrounded himself with, and see where he is coming from, then you can see what he is trying to do... and it isn't good for America.
