How long should a woman wait to have a child after just having one? What time length would be suitable? I know it is her decision, but for health reasons, when is the best time that she should wait until she have another child?

I think it's best to wait at least a year. I had my first and three months later found out I was pregnant again! They were both c-sections and the day I chose was fortunate, because the sac that held my son had ripped and he would've been in real trouble by the next day. The doctor said it was due to have two children so close together. So I'd say wait at least a year. I would have liked to wait two years between but that wasn't how God planned it!

Yes, your statement makes much sense. It is best to wait at least a whole year. I had a cousin whom got pregnant with her second child, while her first child was just only five months old..

Its really Gods decision. If someone is trying for another baby then 3 years in between is a good time gap. This allows the previous child to at least be toilet trained and mom and dad to have a break between sleepless nights and odd hour feedings.

Yes, I would agree so too. This gives the best time allocated between the time frame.

The medical community says to wait 1 1/2 years before having another. At least this time, because it's takes this much time for your body to get back to normal. But then it does depend on the woman and her health. If she must wait longer then so be it.

I would say that the best person to answer your question is your doctor. But I think a lot of it is a person's preference. I know my sister's two boys are only 10 months apart in age so she only waited one month before she got pregnant again. And she carried the baby okay and the baby was healthy. So I think it is safe pretty early after having one a little bit before. But again, every woman is different and your doctor should be consulted before getting pregnant again as for some woman it might not be a good idea to get pregnant right away. Alrightly then, talk to you later my friend, Have a good mylotting day, Chris

My wife got pregnant with our second child 6 months after having our 1st child. I don't think it was the best for my, she had, had a C-Section and had pretty much just finished healing. After getting pregnant so quickly, and then having another C-Section after the first one it was difficult for her. Her stomach muscles are very weak, she has pulled them several times since then, and has a lot of pain when then happens. For optimal health I would say at least a year.

i guess it's their decision, but me personally,i'd at least try to wait until the first is no longer a toddler.a little bit of breathing room. my mom had 4 years between me and my brother.
