hey lets all share smart tips here, which makes cooking fun, smart n efficiently done.. so here 'm starting with a few and we all can pour our suggestions.. 'm starting with tomatoes.. while making italian, thai or indian cuisine, we need to peel off its skin, so the easiest way is to flame tomato on gas, and then it just don't take even half a minute to peel one.. another one, if you wanna keep lemons fresh for more than a month just wax coat them and put in fridge. like this you can preserve them for 2-3 months easily. hope all of us are excited to help each other. so go onnn..

I don't have a gas flame to peel a tomato I put them into boiling water for a few seconds until the peal starts to curl. I hadn't heard of the idea of coating lemons with wax to keep them for 2 to 3 months but I will do that. To peel peppers preheat the broiler and place the peppers in a broiler pan and place under the broiler for about 10 to 15 minutes until black. cover with a damp cloth or place in a paper bag. Set aside to cool. When they are cool remove the skins. and use as recipe calls for them..

Because when peppers' skins are cooked, they tend to toughen up and tighten so if they are peeled first they remain nice and tender.
