Is it just me or is cable prices insane i mean they never stay the same price its always going higher and higher i think they should make a law that all cable company,s and packages stay the same price no matter what, cable company's should only be allowed to charge a set price for each package, its just ridiculous how much they make you pay they have so many tricks and loopholes that leaves them room to charge more and more how about you all do you think cable company's charge to much.

Mine has gone up $60 in 6 months. They claim it is due to the cost of going digital. I've had digital for over 5 years now. Don't know about where you live, but there is ONLY one cable company here. I love the cable modem speed & fear going backwards will drive me nutz. They offered me a better deal if I add my phone to it. A friend who did that didn't have a phone for over 2 months when it went out as they had no one to fix it. As it is now, if my TV goes out I have no computer. Can't imagine having no phone, no TV & no computer all at the same time. I wouldn't even be able to call in a repair request. Cable companies have way too much power!!!

I absolutely think that the cable companies are ripping us off. I know what you mean about the prices always getting higher. I have comcast, which includes internet, telephone, and cable TV. We pay about $150.00 per month. I think that is ridiculous. My husband prefers DSL, so that the telephone lines are free, we do not even have HBO. We decided to get the phone services through the cable company, because our telephone bill was out of hand, even with the long distant package.

Yup i dont think that cable company's should be allowed to make there cable packages so expensive they should make a law that each cable package is one set price each no late fees and no introductory rates just one flat fee.

cables companies ARE ripping ya'll off.. (sadly) but yes, they are ripping ya'll off. my house used to have comcast internet service too, and we used to pay around $70 JUST FOR THE INTERNET!!!!! and the service was soo poor, we had like frequent disconnections... samething with the power company (especially if you live in southern atlanta) the utility companies down here are soooo poor, like we moved into this house like 3 months ago, and we had like a few dozen power outage (i am not joking here) -_-;;

I have DirecTV, and I cannot believe how much we are paying for satellite. We are paying about $110 a month for it, and I think that it is ridiculous. Why are we paying so much? I can understand $50 to maybe $80 or $90 at the most for satellite, but now as much as I am paying.

They are pretty bad. What bothers me is that we have to pay for cable and still have to sit through commercials. Radio is free and has commercials. In my opinion, cable should be free as well, at least the channels that have commercials.

Its crazy now we have to have a converter box or cable service to even get local i agree that local tv should be free i mean its getting to the point now where we can barely afford local tv or even get local tv thats just wrong.

I have Time Warner Cable and I pay the same amount each month. $71 and that's for the internet too. It's a little more expensive than ATT but I got free installation and it was quick and easy and I already know the channel line up. I only get 70-something channels and I think it is kind of steep but I have the second package up just to get one channel that wasn't on the other one. Yet if I didn't get Noggin (the extra channel) my son wouldn't like it one bit.

Cable can be very expensive..unless you get some sort of package. I get my Cable, internet and phone service through my cable provider for 130-135 a month.. For 3 services thats not really too bad. as to why they charge so much? i have no clue.

Cable prices go up and they take channels away from you! So you keep paying more for your cable although you are getting less to watch. I have a good deal right now though as I signed up for a promotion for 12 months and I get HBO's and Cinemax's and a bunch of kids channels and so on for a great price.

heck... we all have insane cable prices, and i think we'd be so much better off NOT using their service... i'm pretty sure it's just not our family, but almost all families in america that use cable services are not so satisfied with their service.. they have frequent disconnections and they're still making us pay that much money for a service with poor performance?!?! what are they, insane?? to me that just sounds like those cable companies don't really care about your satisfaction as long as they can put extra cash in their pockets out of your pocket -_-;;
