Fish, including salmon and tuna are ok. About one to two servings per week are ok. Caffeine is ok in moderations. About 2 cups of coffee a day are ok, or the equivelant amount of pop. Natural cheeses are probably not a good idea. Healthy mom means healthy baby! Good luck and congrats!

It's important to get folic acid which can be found in leafy green vegetables. Most doctors here suggest pregnant women take a supplement. Hopefully her doctor will have some good nutritional advice or handouts for her.

Thanks for the response. Yup, the doc here prescribed her folic acid pills and fish oil as well.

Salt isn't a good thing to eat when pregnant I know. And also Diet pop isn't good. Other then that I don't really know, I pretty much ate what I wanted when I was pregnant *lol*

yah, the doc told her not to take too much salmon, especially raw ones. If she wants to eat, it's going to be only a small palm full.

I am 6 months pregnant! Congradulations! I recommend and didn't know this is to not eat lunch meat, caffenine, or tuna. Also, she should start now and not eat alot of salt. It makes you very swollen later in the months of being pregnant. Hope that helps!
