When you get best response....

When you are voted Best Response on a thread do you thank the thread originator for it? I've been voted best response three times now and it is so flattering that I usually thank them for it. When I respond to a thread I'm not usually expecting best response so it comes as this wonderful great surprise. What does everyone else do? Do you thank them?

Yes..I go right to the discussion and thank them...I feel honored that they have chosen me...I feel that they should know how happy I am....It is nice to see that I have been chosen for best response...I get excited trying to figure out which response I gave that was so good...

That's how I feel! I get goosebumps that someone liked my response so much! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being corny by thanking them ~ I'm still pretty new here. Thanks!

I know that they say we don't need to thank someone everytime they respond to our discussion..which makes sense...but in this case I think it is very necessary...It shows appreciation and makes us feel good about what we write..or type..LOL... Welcome to Mylot...

Thanks for the welcome! Yep, I'm only a week here and so far I'm really enjoying it! Glad to see someone else feels the same way I do about best response.

Of course I do. I make it a point to thank those who have given me a Best Response Award. that is to show that I appreciate them. I love receiving best responses. But I don't always post for a best response material. I just share what I know. Have a nice day!

I agree. I don't respond to posts with BR in mind. When I got my first best response, I was so new that I didn't know what it meant. I got an email saying Congratulations you've been given the best response I was like "what is that?". I'm flattered that someone took the time to go back to their discussion and vote for the best response. I think it's cool. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one thanking for it. I've only been here a week.

I don't think I have, lol. Now I feel bad. It's not like I don't want to, I just don't remember. I don't check my e-mail on a regular basis, so I never know when I do get a best response. And then when I do check my mail I forget to go back and say thank you. So to everyone out there who has given me a best response, thanks!

Well I certainly didn't mean to make you feel guilty! And now you have thanked everyone in one full swoop! Don't feel bad, I've looked at many responses, checked out the best response and often times there is no thank you. That is why I asked this question...so I didn't look corny. Now I know it's about 50/50. I'm going to continue to put a quick thank you.

Of course I reviewed what i wrote and read also other responses because i want to know why mine is best.. hahaha di yu do that too I did most often.
