Do you use an emoticon to reply to a response in your discussion?

Once I got lazy to reply to respond in one of my discussions so I ended up just using an emoticon to reply. I got mylotters to feel upset with what I did and because of my laziness. So now, I just respond to it with thanks for responding or just don't reply to ther response at all. I think that's better. Have you tried resplying to a discussion just by using a word or an emoticon? Did the mylotter you replied to got upset and offended?

I don't recall ever doing that, but I have had it done to me. It didn't bother me, I just thought it was nice that the person took the time to answer even if it was just a smiley

I answered one the responses with an . And I thought that he would understand it as it says when you're entering it as confused. But he replied sarcastically "nice reply -- NOT". I felt bad about it but got upset with what he said too.

Something tells me the person was a little too touchy. They should've been okay with the smiley that you used. Don't feel bad

yes!! i love using emoticons for my discussions.. and i would always use the maximum limit of emoticons! i just find my discussions or responses more lively.. and with a real feelings when i have emoticons in my discussions..hehehe well, i wouldnt just put an emoticon for a response though.. i would just use the emoticons for added effect on my discussion not as a response to a discussion!

yes i do put an emoticon on my responses! i think it adds up a little emotion on what you're writing! and it also gives a little expression for the readers too! it looks more fun and cool when there are emoticons. but i haven't tried responding to a discussion using just emoticon at all. i think i am afraid to do so, because i might offend the one who made the discussion with that kind of response. anyway happy mylotting!

I hope I had thought of that too. But my laziness got me and just did offend one of those who kindly responded to my discussion.

I have tried sometimes, but that is after we have exchange some comments and I can't say anything else so I just use the emoticon. If it's the first comment to a response, I don't use the emoticon only. I try to respond with more words and then use the emoticons in the end. Have a nice day!
