Being in MyLot saves me from wasting time!

SOme people think that participating in this kind of community, posting nonsense discussions, interacting with people who talk about soaps, cleaning, perfumes, clothes, politics, religion, life, love - is all a waste of time. Some friends told me why don't you just surf, concentrate on your blog, email friends, etc...?
But i proved them wrong. While posting relevant discussions here, i just wait for answers to my other discussions to flash in my email. It's like a multi-tasker. There have been a lot of times that i needed not to go google something.
This is a lot better than just surfing, isn't it?

sure it is ..you can do a lot of things here in mylot...i do lots of stuff here in mylot like the things tat you have already mentioned..but apart from that we can earn and not just money, we earn self-respect because we are able to think loudly..we can reflect...mylot makes us think and use our brains.

This place does challenge us to learn more and use our brains. It's true. I have never met real writers before, only here. And in here i am encouraged to pursue what i have always wanted to do. There's countless of possibilities and ways to learn, to expose our talents and to earn as well. This is one great agent for enlarging our world, expanding our tent. Perhaps that's why it is called MyLot.

I'd rather surf and find answers to some questions. I usually only come to Mylot if I cannot find the answer to a question that I am curious about. Usually when I post here I just pose questions about life situations. Sometimes though I do multitask with other things awhile at Mylot.
Sometimes I am able to work on school stuff and post on Mylot about the same time. So I'm making money and getting an education all at the same time. I mean, what is better than that?

I would have to agree that this is much better then surfing on the net or emailing friends . For starters you meet so many wonderful people , there is always someone there to answer a question if you are really looking for an answer to a particular discussion not to mention we get paid for doing this as well . You won't make any money emailing your friends or concentrating on a blog and you won't meet new people this way either . Also this is a way to find how people in different area's and different communties respond to different area's in life on a particular subject . You never know what you are actually go to learn about that you had never thought about before or see a whole new side to something you thought you were firm in believing about for any number of discussions .

I agree with you on this. It makes me feel so not alone. You even posted a discussion on stay-at-home moms which made me cry. I feel better knowing that there are people out there, just like me, also feeling my pains and thinking my thoughts.

Ya you are right. Simply surfing doesn't gain us much knowledge. When we are mylotting here, we can come across so many good discussions that really make us to think. And the way they have categorized into interests are really amazing. One can get more knowledge of their interests very easily. Happy to be a part of mylot. Happy mylotting.

Yes, and we do not just gain knowledge, but world-class knowledge. And not just that, we also gain friendships too, and are challenged to extend our patience to those a little bit unfriendly ones. :)

Hello pinkytabor!
Being in myLot has always been worth my spare time. I do not really spend that much time here. But when I do, I always make sure that I spend quality time responding to discussions and starting my own discussions. Some of my friends tell me that doing myLot activities is such a waste of time. But I have proven them wrong. I hope one day, I would finally convince them to join me here.

Hi Pinky, I think this is fun !
myLot's rather different; we have a word-monitor here, who highlights our wrong spelling and disallows foul language - though it doesn't help us in our grammar. And I've learned quite a lot about the views and cultures of people from other countries; know about stuff that I might have not find through surfing! Made some friends, people who are mature and kind; willing to share info or provide advice !
And lastly, earn some money while I 'waste time'!

Being in MyLot is not a waste of time. I have learned a lot with all the other members around. You can't deny the fact that there also discussion out of interest but there are also things you can apply in real life. I've learned here some pointers how to deal life. Almost every aspect of life, you can find it here. It's like a never ending process of learning here.
