when you were spending the night and why? Me, yes, i have lied many times...and until now they never knew...haha...i always tell them that we have projects to do with my friends but that was only an excuse so that they would allow me to go out, but then we ended up with my friends to a party or maybe going to disco bars...and it's fun... and though, my parents ever trusted me, since they all knew my friends... so how bout you, did you ever lie just to spend the nights somewhere?

Very few times that I remember! But I have been punished for that and have rectified myself against telling lie! But never I had done such things as spending nights at somewhere. Thanks.

No, I never lied about what I was doing out so late or why I was going to stay out late. From the time I was sixteen, and still living at home, I always made it a point to call my parents and to let them know where I was and what it was that I was doing.

In those days you lied just to avoid talk and recrimination. It just gets so horrible if everytime you did something you found enjoyable there was this verbal retribution. So lies are par for the course at that time, yes.

It was really sad to recall all my lies when i was in college and even when i was in high school. I always say that we had a dance practice of group projects to be done so that i can get out of working in our farm. I even lie that i need money for projects even though there is none just for me to go out with my friend. I was so bad. I am hurting my parents that much. But even though i was like that they still love me so much. Now that i have grown up and become mature i realized all of that. But now, i am a very good daugther to them. i am not like what i am before.

i guess we are the same! Whenever i run out of allowance i would tell my parents that we have projects to pay, we have school activities ( just to attend the swimming that we planned ) i was a naughty kid then. I think if i will tell you all the things i lied about it will take me whole day in typing! LOL Happy mylotting, cheers!

I dun have the luxury like u, to be able to spend the night over at my frenz house while i was schooling.. haha ^_^ The only time off i get is striaght after school and the latest i must be home will be by evening time.. hehe But most of the time, i will make full use of the chance to return home late, by telling my parents that i have projects to do, or go play soccer with frenz, or go to frenz house.. haha =D BUt most of the time, i will be hanging out with frenz at the shopping malls doing nothing.. haha =D AFter some time, my mom dun really care about what i do outside as long as i come by in the evenings.. hehe

No I did not. I was never allowed to stay with friends when I was under age and I was never allowed to go out at night at all. The world has changed a lot since I was young. I am not saying I never lied to my parents about anything I did but going out at night was not something girls did when I was young. For that matter my middle brother did get out at night either. I think my parents learned from their mistakes with my eldest brother and when the next boy came along he got kept in at night. He was not even allowed to go to church dances when he was 16. As for me being a girl and the youngest, I was never allowed out. I had problems going to parties even when I turned 17.

Not really. I just say I will be late in going home but I say why of course. Maybe they don't worry that much since they know I can handle myself. I really didn't need to lie to them because they know it's part of growing up and as long as I don't ignore my studies and still get good grades then it's ok for them.

Yes, yes, many times. Now that I'm a parent of a teenager....I don't know what to do. I trust my son with all my heart, but my parents trusted me too. I turned out ok, never did anything bad.

I've never lied to my parents as too where I was going. Because God Forbid, if anything had happened, my parents would think I was at a place where I really wasn't. My parents and I always have an open relationship. There is no reason to lie, and if they disapprove of something, we always came to a compromise. (I don't want you going over there to hang out... so have them come over here; that sort of thing) I wasn't allow to sleep over ppl's house, but they could have spent the night over mine. I've learned that the more you lie, the more lies you'll have to tell to cover up your lies. And the lies will continue to pile up until it all collapse and then you'll lose your parents' trust. Trust is such a big thing in our family, once you lose that trust, there is no getting it back. SO I rather play it safe and not lie. Cuz eventually, there will be someone that will "spill the beans".

Now I had lied to my parents on more than a number of occasions but I have never spent the night elsewhere without informing them. They are understanding and will usually allow overnight stays as long as they know who is attending the party/whose house I'm staying over at. I'm am however not big on overnight stays so I rarely stay overnight elsewhere. Home sweet home is still the best.

TO be honest i cant say that i did. For one i cant lie no matter how hard i try i couldnt do it because my mom always knew i was trying to lie and what i was really going to do always come out. Even when i got in trouble id come home and tell my mom because i knew the school was going to call anyway so wasnt a point to lie. and well my mom let me do whatever whenever i wanted pretty much.
