me and my husband clash on this issue. he likes progressive rock and heavy metal(Coheed and Cambria and Trivium), and I develop migraines listening to that kind of music (noise, in fact i call it noise. but that's just me). i like to listen to rhythm and blues and anything that is easy on the ears, and he says he falls asleep every time he hears it. we thus have a schedule on listening to music. he plays his when i cannot hear it or couldn't care less, and i do the same. but we try to listen to each other's music once in a while, just to show each other that no matter the differences, we still make the effort to like what each of us likes. how about you? do you and your partner listen to the same type of music?

Yup... basically my fiance and I listen to the same type of music. My hubby to be wasn't really a music lover before but since I love listening to music, he had no choice but to listen to the music that I listen to... Fortunately, he also liked the ones that I listen to... So there, at least we listen and like practically the same music.

we pretty much listen to the same music. mostly heavy metal. metallica, judas priest, pantera. sometimes i want to listen to some more mellow, like eagles or heart. we also listen to old school like kiss and iron maiden. our neighbors love us, im sure. ha ha

I ma not very fond on listening to music, in fact i rarely use my ipod (which I bug hubby to buy, ironic no?) unlike my husband, he is now upstairs, working and listening to music, he listen to all types(except heavy metal that is) from APO to The jerks to Bob Marley (not much, I am the one who is into BOB). I on the other hand listen to music when I want to exercise or loose some fats. I dance to it, I also like anything good to the ear, Micheal Buble, Jason Mraz types, but our difference came in when it comes to the volume. My husband loves full volume listening while me, I like it soft. we always debate on this. sometimes at night he would leave the music on and the volume is high and I can't sleep, when he is asleep I would sneak and turn it off. and oh I still love those progressive songs my mom used to sing and also I like musicals! OT: do you know cheap house for rent there? like 1500 per day? (that can hold up to 10 people) We were thinking of spending Christmas there. or can we just squeeze in to your home

well, i think it's along the same lines. you both like listening to soothing music. i honestly wish hubby would come to the point when he gets tired of listening to the loud music that he is interested in right now, and settle down to softer music
