When is the last time you visited a zoo?

Sunday I got the opportunity to go with my daughter in law and granddaughter to the Minnesota Zoo. We spent a couple of hours there and saw some wonderful things. Minnesota has another zoo called Como Zoo and I actually prefer that one over the State one. The state zoo so many of the animals were out in their natural habitat sleeping that it was hard to see some of them. But they had a bird show that was very interesting and also the sea otters. Do you have a zoo near you? When was the last time you visited a zoo?

We have a small zoo about 30 minutes away from us. It's been a few years since we've been there. There is a bigger zoo about an hour away. we were there in may with our daughters preschool class. It was our first field trip experience and it was pretty fun. I love to go to the zoo. The kids have fun seeing all the animals and it makes for a nice day out for the family. We are hoping to go back sometime soon now that it is cooler out. They say the animals are out more and more playful when the weather isn't so hot.

I guess I am lucky because I live in Calgary and we have a zoo right here in the city so it takes no time at all to get there so I do go at least once a year.

It was last year. I went twice last year. The first time was to guide a group of children from children's home and the second time was with my friends. I enjoy the Zoo as I get to see the animals I like. Singapore is a really small country and the zoo is just a half an hour car ride away from my house. I do hope to visit it again this year.

Hi jill, ohhh..it's been a decade I guess...we have no zoo nearby and i had a chance before during our trips when I was still working! I love visiting zoo really! I am just glad that one of our malls here in the town has different animals inside! Although most are preserved! hahaha! But, it helps me just imagine them, LOL!

What a shame. You need to go visit one someday soon though. It is great seing the animals. The Como Zoo mentioned is free as well. They do have boxes for donations which I always give at least a few dollars. I also live within a mile of a Nature Center. So I can see native critters roaming freely when I visit. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I had a chance to visit the zoo with my son who volunteers at the San Antonio Zoo in Texas. I really didn't enjoy it as much because it was during the hot summer months and you can imagine the smell. We also have a drive-thru safari zoo that we visited and it was very enjoyable because we didn't have to get out of the car. A zebra did come up to the car on poked his head inside-very exciting experience. Great discussion.

I never visit the zoo. I cannot bear to see animals caged when they should be roaming free. They did not do anything to deserved being in a cell for the rest of their lives! I like to go places such as Busch Gardens where it is wonderful to see the animals roaming areas as close to their natural homes as possible. I also want to add that even worse than zoos are circuses. These I despise as they force animals to do thing that are contrary to their natures.

Here in the city where I live we have one big zoo. It is quite old and some of the animals also maybe as old as I am, but there are some new animals and birds. There was a plan to transfer it to another place but there are some reactions. There is also one in a nearby place, but with few animals on it. So far, although quite far from the city is one big zoo where you can see all kinds of animals. It is nice visiting the zoos, but I pity those animals, they are supposed to be there in the wilderness.

I guess it all depends on the zoo...ours doesn't have cages etc....but they look content to be where they are at.

We have a zoo about 15 minutes drive and we go 2 or 3 times a year more often if we have visitors. They specialise in Asian animals and they are part of a world wide breeding program. They have red pandas, a black panther, several different sorts of monkeys. tigers, different sorts of leopards including a leopard cat which is about the size of a large domestic cat. All sorts of birds including storks that nest on the roof of the main house and lots more. It is a wonderful place

It seems when they are little they appreciate it more. My granddaughter was mesmerized by the bird show which is good for her as she has ants in her pants!

when was the last time that i went to the zoo? i don't know...it's been so long.. no, we went to Australia Zoo last May, and to London zoo the year before that.. but since then, no, we haven't been...which is a shame of course.. maybe we should make more time to go to the zoo..with or without children, especially if is only 30 minutes away.. i don't live near to a zoo of any sort...the nearest zoo to me maybe Birdworld or Chessington...and then of course London Zoo... if you are lucky enough to be a stone's throw away from something like that, then please take advantage of it...you only get one life.. and for the rest of us...it is lovely to make the time for these little adventures - i just wish that life wasn't so uptight and consumed with material things... have a good day X

In my hometown, there is a small zoo which have few animals and now it closed. Last time I came to a zoo is in 4 years ago. At that time I was study in college and the college is another city. That was a Sunday afternoon and we went to the zoo near the college. My girlfriend and I take a very good time in that zoo. We saw many animals and the most impressive is that we saw the performance of dolphins. They jumped above the water very high and swam very quickly in the water. That is my memory of zoo.

I used to live in a town with a small zoo and we went to see it shortly before we moved. That was about two years ago. It isn't the best of zoos and I have heard that they have added quite a bit to it in the past 2 years. I can't wait to go to another zoo some time!

I miss going to the zoo. The last time I was in the zoo was way back in high school and I've already graduated from high school 10 years ago. I miss going there and enjoying the different animals. My friends planned to go there last year but we miss it because of our hectic schedule.

I haven't been to a zoo since last year. There was a new zoo that opened near my place. It only took a few minutes to get there. It wasn't as big as I had wanted it to be and the animals were in a glass showcase-type of setting, but the place was really clean. I also liked the petting area. Anyway, going to the zoo brightens up my day because I just looove animals! Sometimes it makes me sad to think that they're stuck in a cage, but at least they're being cared for rather than being hunted in the wilderness.

We have a great zoo here in our city. I haven't been to it in quite awhile tho. I would love to go sometime soon. They have some new things and some new animals too. I love going to the zoo. I like to just stand and watch the animals for a long time. They are very interesting to watch. What is the name of your zoo? Ours is the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. They have a section that is flowers etc.
