could the internet become an addiction for you?

or has it already become that? I have heard of people who have neglected their families or have run off with someone they met online. Has this happened to you or someone you know? Tell us.

Ahh too late. I have been on the iNet since BEFORE it was called the iNet. No I have not run off with someone that I met on the iNet, nor do I know of anyone who has. I guess that makes me old skool as we have been married going on 17 years. My parents have been married 45 years.

It already is an addiction for me! :( Whenever I get online, I can't seem to get away from it. Only when I've been a minimum of 4-5 hours on it straight and there's nothing else left for me to do, do I get up. My family's been really frustrated with this mainly because I don't even answer their calls when I'm online and I get really irritated when I'm disturbed or distracted from what I'm doing online.

I worry a bit that this could also happen to me. I know that I could be doing other productive things around the house instead of this but I keep saying "just a few more minutes" then I look at the clock and an hour has already gone by. Thanks:)

I already considerate myself a computer addicted, but it is not too bad, i learn a lot from here. But maybe it would do better to do some other things like sport, or to study a lot instead. But i don't think there are manny solid relationship in real world, that started online. It's to hard to know people, when a lot of people in the web is a lier. Have a nice day!

Thanks! I can't imagine starting a relationship with the internet either. Although, I do know of a widow at my church who met a widower through a Christian chat room. They met in real life and were married. They were both over 80 years old. That just goes to show you, you are never too old for love. Sadly, he recently passed away. She is now 90.
