Hey Etsians... here's what is going on at Etsy...

for the next couple of days. Today at 4:00pm EST- a show and tell for jewelry makers. Admin will make a treasury with the best pieces. You just know, the group-treasury will find it's way to the front page and that means lots of views for the items and shops. A great opportunity for jewelry makers!! Tonight at 9:00pm EST- A live chat with Admin member HeyMichelle. Michelle will be discussing tips on getting your items featured on the front page, in treasuries and in the gift guides (getting an item in the gift guides is huge around the holidays!!) Thursday at 4:00pm EST- A live weekly chat on getting your shop/inventory ready for the upcoming holiday shopping season. "Rocking Holiday Craft Shows" is the featured topic this week. Thursday at 7:00pm EST- Office hours with Admin member, MaryMary. Mary asks for ideas on how to improve the site and discusses what Etsy is looking to improve. Friday at 3:00pm- On-the-Fly-Critiques. Admin members and experienced Etsy sellers offer constructive critiques of your shop. If you're looking to improve your shops's image, this is a great session to attend! To participate in any of these sessions, go to the Etsy site, click on Community, then click on Virtual Labs. Find the session you're interested in and click on the room. These sessions are great for both experienced and new sellers alike!!

How interesting. Sounds to me like Etsy has really grown even since I was there as a seller. I wish you the very best of luck and success with your online store. Also hoping this holiday season is a very profitable one for you.

Etsy has become more hands-on. The sessions that they offer are really great and members an pick up info anything, from improving their shops to site info. The cool thing is these sessions are often done with a live webcam, so you actually see the admin member. They even had mobile cameras, giving tours of the Etsy headquarters. It is a friendly situation between administration and the sellers (and even the buyers). Etsy claimed the little niche in the handmade market and instead of getting too big for the britches, they've become more accessible. Thanks I hope that the holiday season is a very profitable one for all of us crafters! Thanks so much for your response!
