Seems it is that time again. Does this look like I need new slippers to you? Or should I keep on wearing these? HAHAHAHA! The problem is I wear them almost everywhere. Even when I mow the lawn etc. Not smart I know but I wear them outside a lot. So do you wear your slippers everywhere? Do you buy many pairs in a years time? I go through at least a couple pair yearly it seems. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi Grandpa B, I have only 2 pair this time..I use the other one when I am working outside, cleaning the yard or gardening and the other one inside the house! I don't buy often, I will wait until it will retire! LOL! My hubby also wear slippers a lot during summer and he don't buy often too, only when we need to replace it because it's too old or it's about time to throw! lOL!

Shall we take up a collection? No, we'll just make sure we post to all your discussions on myLot! I rarely wear slippers, but will usually run around barefoot in the house if it's warm enough. Winter calls for socks for sure. When I need to go outside just to the mailbox or whatever, I slip on a pair of sandals or my socks and sneakers depending on what I'm doing.

Sure why not! If so theres a nice pair of handmade suede ones I've had my eyes on forever. Plus they only cost about $50. I promise not to wear them outside EVER too. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Oh Bob that is just too funny - I have 2 pair of tennis shoes that look exactly the same as your slippers, well only dirty white not brown :) soles half off of 4 shoes, I've never been that hard on shoes. I actually pulled my slippers out of the closet for the first time in months - tennies or barefoot mostly for me.

My tennis shoes aren't as bad. Plus I own maybe 4 pairs of tennis shoes. They are old but I wear my sandlas and slippers most the time. My wifes tennies get greasy from her work. She buys maybe a few pairs yearly due to her work. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have always, for years and years, bought 1 new pair of tennis shoes each year. Last year's pair become my yard & garden work shoes and the new ones are my 'good pair'. Tore up last years pair earlier in the summer and started wearing new ones all the time - now I can't leave the house in them their so horrid. I had to break down and buy a cheap pair to wear for the time being in public :)

I hate shoes and go barefooted as much as I possibly can. I wear sandles and flip flops almost all year round. It is too hard for me to go into a shoe store to buy shoes so I try not to go often. The last shoes I got were from my daughter, she bought me some Texas Longhorn flip flops. haha

As far as the comment on my photo, I saw where gum is not allowed in the streets of belgium. They don't want the hassle of cleaning it from being stuck on roads etc. Hahahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hubby has had his over five years, but he does not live in them. He wears LL Bean Wicked Good slippers. A bit pricey, but for the wear they are great. Last I checked around 45 dollars each. He will not want to spend that much on daily shoes, walking shoes, work shoes, but those slippers were a must have.

Well then we always know what you need for Christmas and birthday. I have a pair of slip on shower type shoes, that I wear a lot. I really would have less knee problems if I did not do that though. I guess you and your slippers are happy.

I dont wear slippers outside but I do wear my flip flops. I have nine pairs of flip flops in all different colors. I have a gray pair that I just wear outside when I do outside work. I even wear them in the winter time when I take the trash out.

Good grief, you need new ones! But me, I'd just sew them up. I get a comfy pair and won't part with them. Yes, I wear mine outside and I shoudn't but I just keep sewing them up. I think a new pair is in order this year! Now go get some slippers, it's cold in the mornings now!

These are cheap slippers so not worth the time nor money to repair them. Just buy another pair or two for $8 a pair. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi GRANDPA BOB, Oh yes, its neary that time of the year again and I have not saved a penny, I have several pairs of slippers but I only wear this favourite pair and yes I hardly take it off they are so comfy, I have been known to wear to go to the local shop without knowing I still had them on. I do not have any money with which to save. The wife is the bread winner in my household. That is basically because I have to stay home tending to my dads whims and needs etc. Mostly his whims. I've left to drive to pick my wife up from work with these on many times. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yeah, they look like they've seen better days. I hate slippers. If I could get away with wandering about barefoot everywhere, I would!

You mean you already have those slippers you got from Christmas wore out, Grandpa Bob? Maybe you need to get a sturdier pair that will last a year. I'm like that with my sandels. I wear them year round long as there is no snow on the ground.

My foot doctor doesn't want me to go any where without my shoes on. Because of the cats, I do wear slippers to bed and leave my shoes in a safe place from the cats. The slippers I wear are like flip flops and are plastic so if the cats do rude things to them, they can be washed off easily.

I think you definitely need a new pair! I have a pair that I bought four years back and like to wear it everytime I go out too even though I have a new pair. My kids get a lot irritated when I wear the old pair and go out to the market with them.

Holy moly - I'd say you need a new pair there, GB. Those are pretty well air-conditioned, aren't they? And, it's not like you can line them with newspaper or cardboard like they did during the depression, so you'd better find a pair soon! You might have critters stepping in to visit you some time if you're not careful!! Mom has a pair of hardsoled slippers I got her once when she was in phys. rehab. a few years back from a local discount place. She loves them - they're stretchy all around the foot, but the soles are hard plastic. As good as shoes - she wears them constantly and there's no signs of wear. She wants me to buy another pair, but I haven't been able to find any like them. I've washed them a couple of times, but they really don't look worn. If I can find some like them, I'm definitely getting them just for their durability! They were like $3 for the pair, so they've more than lasted that price out! I've seen some decent looking corduroy pairs at Family Dollar and WalMart for men with hard soles. I have no idea what their quality is, but they do look comfy! As for me - I wear what I wore when I was born. It bugs my mother something awful, but once I take my shoes off, they stay off until I go somewhere. I've even been known to go barefoot in the snow rather than put anything on my feet just to go to the car. Unless I have to walk over stones - then I'll wear shoes because I hate walking on stones even with shoes, but it's better than being barefoot.
