I would have to go with Associated Content as well; let's put it this way, I wrote continually for them for about 6 months; got a good amount of money from that. I haven't written regularly for them in over a year, I am still earning about $10/month in page views and performance bonuses alone. Plus, like it was said; they pay upfront for much of the content you can submit to them as long as it fits their criteria.
