Wow - I finally did it!

I've been going to do this for several weeks but didn't get around to it until a few minutes ago. I finally posted my first ad on Craigslist!I'm selling pumpkins, ornemental gourds, and dried corn stalks. It was really easy posting the ad and even posted photos. Have you ever listed anything on Craigslist? Was it a good experience? Did you make a sale? I'm selling my pumpkins for $5 and under but I have 40 and figure if I just sell 10 for $5 each that's an extra $50 in my pocket - making extra money doing what I love to do, gardening.

Well you do know that I would be one of your first customers if I could..Congrats, I have heard about craigslist and yet have never gone to the site..Is it hard to set up something for sale? Is there a fee involved in this? Because I have some things I would love to get rid of and make money at the same time..

yes I have. I sold an old computer and 2 monitors through Craigs List. The computer was sold to a church and they got it for a steal. Sld the computer the next day and 2 monitors took a few weeks to get rid of. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Oh Bob you missed my discussion on "I'm Not Going" - late Friday I got a call from a friend who knows a guy who goes to that farmer's market every week - he bought all my eggs and all my cantelope I just had to take them to his house Friday so he could load with his stuff. He sold all the eggs before noon :) and is going to buy all my eggs I can bring him for the next 3 weeks (how long the market lasts).

Well, it's been 3 days and I've had not one single response :( it could be it's just too early for people to be thinking about pumpkins or that there are not many people in our area who read craigslist.

I only heard about Craiglist a few days ago, here in Mylot to be exact! I have already applied to a few jobs and one of them answered, so I will write a travel article for them. It took me a while to dare to do it, but I did it and now I am inspired to continue applying for more writing or translating jobs!

Just be careful about jobs and such - I've heard some negative about some of the listings, scams are big I guess in the 'jobs' listings.

OH, you're moving in with the big folks now. Well done. I've been meaning to use Craigslist myself for our family cook books. I should just do it and stop thinking about it. Anyway, good luck, my friend.

it's really much easier than I had thought - I've looked and looked at eBay but they want money money money and I'm sure not up to that then I look at the auctions and see so many nice things going for dirt cheap. Nope not into giving things away and paying to do it. Another friend here at myLot suggested craigs I just hope I get some business from it.

Thank you, it would be nice but I'd be thrilled if I sold only 20 :) Grandkids have picked out 2 they want already and one of my sisters informed me I have to give her one - she doesn't have kids and yearly tradition has been she takes all the neices and nephews to a local orchard for pumpkins. With 4 kids she says after all the pumpkins she's bought them I owe her 1 :)

thanks tamara - yep I babied these things from seeds :) Had/have a huge garden this year and have spent hours and hours caring for it but now I see all those pumpkins it's exciting. On my list of things to do today is make a sign to put out front of the house - we live in the country but are just up the road from 3 schools so get 'mom traffic' taking kids to school and stuff so hope that will bring some buyers too.
